Some major cities get heat waves like this every summer, but they're all positioned on the coast so it's easy to escape it.
I think the hottest weather I've ever been in was 46, it honestly felt like an oven.
I would dive into the ocean and come back out again, and before I'd even got to my towel I'd be practically dry. This was in Victoria a few years back.
>>52344564
>that purple
What the fuck
Our winters sucks but that's just crazy
>>52344712
>implying people live there
Your major cities often get below -30 in the winter, I'd prefer the occasional heat wave than bitter soul crushing Russia tier tundra
>>52344564
>that mild NZ temp
>>52344781
>having a mild climate
>>/europe/
>34ºC
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>>52344767
Having lived in Japan for 3 months near the Hakuba Alps I can tell you living in snow for a length of time is perfectly fine.
>when his temperature starts with 4
I wish I lived in hobart right now
>>52344833
Snow is ok, -30 is not "fine". Especially when winter lasts for 5-6 months as it does in Montreal and Toronto. The novelty wears off pretty quick.
>>52344816
Enjoy your heatstrokes
>>/middle east/
>>52344866
I never understood why Hobart didn't become a city similar in size to Melbourne, or at least Perth/Adelaide. That island is abundant in resources and arable farmland, empty space etc. As a Melbournian it'd be cool to have a major city other than Sydney within a days commute. Plus Hobart is super comfy.
Who else always gets really comfy when you're getting in the Christmas spirit and realize that Australians are suffering a heatwave
>mfw QLD right now
>>52344866
I liked Hobart a lot when I visited, the people reminded me a bit of home
>>52345020
I can imagine New Years Eve and Christmas without 35° days, ice cold brews and barbecues at the beach/mate's backyards. Although a white Christmas would be nice as a novelty.
>>52345107
can't*
>30 C
Fuck I think I'll put on a jumper, arms are a bit cool
>>52344564

>>52344372

>-5°C
has ausfirelia started to burn yet? when do your brush fires start?
>>52345976
There's literally a hole in the O-zone layer right next to us.
Also our ancient continent traps all the heat in the centre because the mountains that were once there have worn down to dust.
>-5°C
Comfy desu farm
has been pretty cold in Perth this last week t͏bh lads
>>52346067
Started about 5 weeks ago

>>52344564

>its +7 C° in the midst of next week
Sounds like another new year without snow.
>>52344372
it finally got a little colder here, christmas maybe wont be sun surface tier
>>52346213
That's the warp where all our wildlife transitions into this dimension.
>>52344372
>tfw it's fucking 22 C in Perth and I had to wear a jumper this morning
IT'S FUCKING DECEMBER. I don't want it to be 40+ but come on give us a little heat please. Fucking el nino.
>>52346213

>>52346405
the cold negativity and unfriendlyness from the british combined by poison from the indigenous species and high temperatures created the ultimate banter
>>52346405
I live at the bottom of W.A and the hottest it gets is about 33°C
>>52344494
I am a very sweaty person, but for some glorious reason, my hands and feet don't sweat. Although the down side is, they're also freezing in winter.
>>52344660
I went to Kings Canyon years ago and it was 52c, footwear was sticking to the rocks and the camera left inside the windscreen in the sun melted enough to start to change shape.
why is it so hot in cuntland?
is it the ozone issue?
>>52344372
>tfw at work in pants and boots
Dont complain you fucking cunt
>>52346406
>diamonds
Opal m8
we /comfy/ now
>>52346931
Awww yiss
>>52346931
>>52346961
can i be comfy with you aussies?
>>52346774
Nah, the ozone hole is less of a heat issue IIRC and more of a UV radiation issue. I go out in the summer sun for half an hour and I burn to a crisp. There's a reason we have probably the world's highest rates of skin cancer, even though comparatively few people tan and only morons go to solariums
>>52346931
>>52346961
>>52347000
Lads I'm dying
>>52344372
>Not even -30°C yet
Guys I'm going to die soon
>>52347017
>few people tan
You live in Vic don't you?
I don't know a single Queenslander who isn't somewhat tanned, I'm a complete NEET and I have a tan.
>>52347045
hang in there bud
>>52347059
Being naturally tanned and deliberately going out on the sun to turn brown and die from cancer in the near future are different things.
-9c
>>52347017
>less of a heat issue IIRC and more of a UV radiation issue
I think we have even more skin cancer than you even though it's much cooler. You can go out and get burnt in 20 minutes here during Summer even when it's not too hot.
>>52344372
I'm sitting at a cool 31 down here in Tassie.
Its 42°C outside and just started raining heavily
>Australia
>42 degrees
>went outside and kicked a ball around
Git gud
>>52347468
Me on the right.
>>52347420
31 is still hot as hell.
>>52347476
>>52347468
How are you able to sleep well? I recall the summer when I was sleepy since I couldn't sleep more than 4-5 hours a night when there were 25 degrees in my house.
By the way, -1℃ here, too hot for my liking.
>>52347588
ur a beaut
>>52347649
Thanks m8
>>52344372
Cairns is really nice right meow. It's raining on and off, and it's supposed to be 28C, but it feels more like 24C
It was 10° here today.
>>52347712
>Cressy (Tassie) is unironically hotter than Cairns right now
Is this punishment for Jacqui Lambie?
>>52347645
When I lived in the south and it got too hot, I just taped my sheets to the top of a fan and had it blow on me so I could sleep. Works great.
>>52344372
7 degrees outside. Comfy as fuck.
>>52347800
I do this every night, I have a small fan that I angle to blow up under my sheets and it just makes a blimp of cool air.
>>52344968
Cos it's on a separate island so it's a pain to ship people and things there. Especially in ye olden convict times.
>>52347045
>Almost 30 degree difference from one day to the other
Damn and I thought we have extremely variable weather that leaves no time to acclimatise
I just turn my air conditioning in desu
>>52344968
Perth has almost 4x as many people as the entirety of Tasmania. We never received enough people to have a 'major' city. Hobart punches above its weight for a city of 200,000, but you've got to consider that even Launceston's population is only 100,000.
>Bushfire warnings and smoke coming over my city
Hold me lads
>>52348129
Ill never let go Jack, until I fall asleep

>>52344372
-12 here, warm for this time of year, couple years ago it almost glt to -60 with the windchill. Windchill is the added temperature drop from the winds of shit
>>52344877
Dude I'm from the prairies it gets -40 to -60 with the windchill at the worst of it. Buf i love it, when its cold enough you see a complete halo of a rainbow around the sun.
