What is the most common name in your country? Do it follow stereotypes?

Ours is Alexander Smirnov. Ivan and Vladimir are no.9 and 8 among first names. Last names ending on -ich, which are typical for Russian villains in Hollywood movies, are not common. It is Jewish, not Russian. E.g. Rabbinovich (rabbi + ich), Kaganovich (cohen + ich). Also it could be Belorussian or Jugoslavian last name, but not Russian.

Jan, Paweł, Teofil

Probably typical anglo names (john, alex, sam, etc) plus some meme chink ones

François is one of the most common, I think it used to mean "French"

It's probably changed now that parents give their kids retard hipster names. Before that it would have been something boring like John Murphy, and let's not forget his wife Mary.
>>
>>52319390
But Finnish doesn't have compound words as such, at least I don't think so? The -son/sen suffix in Swedish/Danish/Norwegian makes it so that our last names literally mean "X's son" (andersson, karlsson etc).

The most common names in Israel are unisex: Mor, Gal, Dor, Orr, Bar, Gil,

but uneducated fucks still call Israelis by old people names that even grandparents here might consider outdated: Chaim, Shlomo.

That would be like calling young Americans "Eugene" or something similar from half a century ago.

"John Smith" is a stereotypical Anglo name, although I've never actually met somebody with that combination.

Smith is overwhelmingly the most common surname in America, especially because immigrants who spoke German or Yiddish often anglicized "Schmidt" to Smith
