I think trannies are treated much better than gays, sex change (incl. hormones, dick snip and some plastic surgery) is free or semi-free on national health insurance.
I had a friend in school who started HRT in 10th year of school, he wasn't bullied or anything, I think. He was a bit bullied when he was acting camp sometimes before that.
