The process of purchasing a gun here in DC is absolutely hilarious.
There is only one FFL dealer in the city and his office is in there DC police department HQ. And he charges a nice little fee for his services.

The police have control over Ward 2, the tourist hot spots in the south of the city, Gerogetown, NoVA (Pentagon, Arlington, Rosslyn, etc.), and the rich end of Maryland to the NW. Stay there and you'll be great.
