Here's mine from Montreal. Super clear, ok it's not that big but I like it.
First for meme map.
>>52253042
How's the service?
Rather small, but here's my city.
>>52253341
compared to nyc and washington it's really clean
>>52253042
There are some other changes and additions being planned that aren't pictured here.
>>52253748
>>52253341
>>52253565
how long does it take from one end to the other?
>Implying there's any tube map that isn't just a Chinese knock off of the London Underground Map.
>>52254036
I'd say around 2 hours.
>>52253713
I wish we could clean our subway up, but being open 24/7 makes that impossible. At least they have a cleaning crew for the platforms.
>>52254199
aah +1 for you, ours is open 5am to 1:30am
>>52253748
in 2008
bart and muni is fucking crowded desu
>Rio de Janegro's """"metro""" is just a line
>>52254036
I wouldn't know for the LA one, I haven't ridden it that long before. I'd assume it'd be a few hours though.
>>52254135
I have a London underground shower curtain desu. (It was on sale.)
>>52254135
Noice. How's it? Is it usually on time?
>>52254340
Are there buses that you can take where the subway doesn't go?
>>52254340
how many disease do you catch while riding it?
> single point of failure
JUST
>>52254135
You're right, the knock offs look pretty shite
>>52254135
>Bakerloo in Purple
FUCKING WHY LAD
>>52254036
For the Bay Area there isn't really one end to the other. San Jose (Diridon) to San Francisco (4th & King) is 1-1.5 hours depending on if you take the express train or not.
>>52254318
> in 2008
What?
Post Terminals if you have them.
>>52254502
currently under construction
>>52254550
>>52254393
Yeah, at least they are relatively decent. Btw the only important parts of Rio are on the coast, where the subway already passes through. To the west of the coast there are favelas
>>52254411
It was surprisingly clean when i went there. Well, i went as a tourist. Being from a rural town, seeing a metro was an attraction in itself, so it looked clean enough to me
>>52254417
>This linear af map
You just know it's Chinese
>>52254550
Futuristic as fuck, any ideas on when it'll be done?
It's pretty small, but it's still something.
Moscow Metro after 10-15 years
if a station doesn't have a date behind it - it exists now
>>52254610
also some of station's from the map are actually exist now, for example Tropariowo, or Kotelniki
>>52253042
It doesn't overlay on a regional map, so this is useless
>>52253341
>midnight in ny
>uptown d train still arrives every 7 minutes
magic
>>52254610
That's actually pretty extensive, I didn't think you guys put much stock in public transportation. Are weirdos common on your subway?
>>52254656
at station it does but in the train it's condensed
>>52254690
public transport isn't considered bad thing here
how much does it cost? it's 3,50$ for regular but student with the "opus" card it's 2$
>>52253341
Why aren't other cities as well planned as New York? They all look like complete garbage in comparison, including other American cities.
>>52254595
2017
>>52254690
Moscow is a very big and car in Moscow is a stress and senseless
for example I was styding in an university near my house (20 min of walk), but sometimes I even come late, because traffic jam every morning
so subway is the only one way to move faster in the city
and what's cool they have 1,5 minute interval of moving even if we are talking about edge of the city
>>52254690
They literally had a problem with wild dogs on the subways attacking people.
http://abcnews.go.com/Travel/BusinessTravel/story?id=4305319
>Andrei Akinin, one of the millions of Moscovites who take the underground train to work, told ABC News, "I work in the very center of the city. There is a pack of dogs at my metro station and I'd passed by them every day, but one day I was late for work and was running. The whole pack attacked me. My clothes were torn, I was bitten and had to have nine painful injections for rabies."
>>52254584
The names are unaesthetic as fuck too. They could opt with more poetic translations instead of shit like Qinghuadongluxikou station
>>52254789
>>52254595
Although it won't actually have rail service until like 2020.
>>52254788
Most of the ones ITT look just as good. Besides it has its problems. If you want to go from Queens to Brooklyn you have to loop through Manhattan. Coney Island is around an hour and half trip on a good day; more lines when?
>>52254899
>all those under a dollar
I didn't think prices like that were still a thing.
>>52254826
Jesus christ that's fucking terrifying.
>>52254805
Same here, you have to be crazy to take a car into Manhattan over the train, or you have your own parking space and aren't in a hurry.
a realistic proportions map (white parts mean that the part of line is upper ground)
rail ways of Moscow's subway
Moscow Tram System
thin lines are subway
The T
Oldest subway in north america
>>52254474
in terms of how many people they can accomodate. every fucking time I get on the muni, it's like I'm in some 3rd world collectivist country
>Toronto is a world class city they said
>>52255261
There's a map that combines both rapid transit and the commuter rail (all stations for each), but I can't find it anywhere.
Boston's (and Eastern Massachusetts') public transit is probably my favorite in the country. There's just something nice about being able to walk into a subway station and then eventually end up in some seaside village or Rhode Island.
>>52254340
This is an old map tho.
>>52254571
You are clueless mate. West coast is literally the best part of the city.
>>52255321
Hey at least they're developing. The purple and blue ones are new.
What is it with West Coast cities and transit systems that don't go anywhere anybody needs or wants to go?
Been living in San Diego for years, and the only reason to use the trolley is to use the trolley.
>>52253341
>tfw the 168th Street A platform will always smell like piss
He's the one guy at the MTA is doing his job. He should get promoted tbqhwy
>tfw my city doesnt have much public transit yet
New York's subway is the worst ever.
- The express/local system is useless and confusing. When we're at a local only station we can wait as much as 30 minutes for a subway, including during rush hours.
- Some trains become locals at a certain hour, other become express.. wtf
- The AC system is fucked up. Incredibly hot on the platform during summer, and unbearably cold in the train
- No internet between the stations ( in Europe it's been years there is internet in the subway), and no internet at all at most stations
- Entire lines are closed during the week end
- The changes in service are not clearly indicated and the speakers are speaking so fast we can't understand anything
- It smells...
- So many other things
>>52255603
>The express/local system is useless and confusing. When we're at a local only station we can wait as much as 30 minutes for a subway, including during rush hours.
This doesn't happen.
>>52255321
and that doesn't even show how shitty the actual subways are.
and fuck TTC for not putting Presto faresystem onto their buses, it's such a headache when everyone else has already adapted to it.
>>52254414
Deer Park-Little River was just completed, senpai. There's so much parking space and the V-Line is super comfy. They give you little desks, a luggage rack and an onboard bathroom . I only have five stops to work now.
>>52255603
i don't know about NY but i like the smell of metro in general
