Because despite whatever westernized lefties will tell you, the title of the worst foreign policy decisions of any major power over the last 50 years goes to China. They are worse than Russia.
China has made true enemies to their east, west and south.
When it comes to diplomacy they base all their negotiations from their middle kingdom bullshit ideology which is at the very center of their religious idea that China is destined to be the premier country in all the world. And that other countries should treat them that way even if they aren't.
