>Celebrating Christmas
The only two events of his life we have evidence for are his crucifixion and baptism.
Obviously he was born knuckleheads, but none of the gospel writers can agree on the most basic details, his birth's irrelevant, and there's a 99.73% chance it wasn't on December 25. Hell, the church fathers just put it there to party crash on Saturnalia and Mithra's birthday.
They should've just set the celebration of the beginning of his ministry on Dec. 25th instead of Jan. 6, keeping the second most important part of his life as the second most important holiday of the church year.

If you don't want to celebrate a christian christmas than call it "yule" and celebrate a pagan based christmas. Not that hard.

I'm well aware of other traditions which predate the christian one.
I'll still stick to earning double play for no reason on that date instead. But to each their own.
