>going to grab some lunch with and Australian student
>when we're walking to the restaurant (literally 1 mile away) he falls on his ass 5 times.
>tfw I have to teach a 20 year old man how to walk when it's icy.
>he looked like a new born deer taking it's first steps.

Watching this Australian try to function in below freezing temperatures is literally the funniest shit ever.

I don't even go outside on sleet day. It's fucking dangerous out there.

Falling on ice/snow is literally impossibe unless you are old, fat or drunk. Any young person should be able to avoid it.

However, bicycles are a different story when a road is covered with crystal clear ice + water on top and it has massive rails/bumps. I fell myself last spring in such conditions, I was also going downhill and the sun reflected from ice, thus making me effectively blind.

What about that perfectly smooth black ice that forms on sidewalks and gets covered by a thin layer of snow? Normally I can walk fine on an icy sidewalk, but that stealth ice has made me faceplant a couple of times.

Some of the hottest temperatures on Earth have been recorded in the southwestern United States.
