Falling on ice/snow is literally impossibe unless you are old, fat or drunk. Any young person should be able to avoid it.
However, bicycles are a different story when a road is covered with crystal clear ice + water on top and it has massive rails/bumps. I fell myself last spring in such conditions, I was also going downhill and the sun reflected from ice, thus making me effectively blind.
