However, almost only ethnic Kazakhs speak Russian. And among ethnic Kazakhs, many of them (especially in big cities) don't actually speak Kazakh. And on top of that, even among ethnic Kazakhs who speak Kazakh, many of them are still better at speaking Russian than Kazakh.
