I went on a school trip to Japan in high school, and we went to a school over there for a couple of days. The girls in class all really social and friendly. Before class some girls would stand by the door and look over at me, and then look away and giggle if I smiled at them. So yeah I like Japanese people and want to date one, because every Japanese person I met was nice and peaceful, and the girls look cute.
In school in Australia, nobody ever gave a shit about international visitors. They'd just sit up the back quietly and nobody would think twice about them. I went to an all-male school so there was no "exotic sexual interest" or anything either (weren't really any gay students).
We had a long-term exchange student from Aichi in Year 10 and 11 who was cool and spoke English well though. But it was nice to be acknowledged and treated nicely in Japan.

Japanese people were nicer in general though. I had a conversation with a guy on a bullet train, who talked to me about an ancestor of his being a samurai. In line at the sumo stadium in Tokyo, these guys who spoke English started chatting with us about the sport. I don't know if you've been to Melbourne, but you don't get that here. You can't tell if someone's a foreigner, because most Asians are just people who live here. If you ask "Are you visiting Australia?" you'd be called a racist, unless they do actually happen to be visitors (in which case you're lucky). You don't seem to understand how nice it was to experience that friendliness from people in Japan, having never seen anything like it.
