Yeah, I think people get confused when they hear about historic migrations of peoples. I mean the large scale invasion of the Roman Empire by the Germanic tribes fleeing from others like the Huns were minuscule, about 100,000, which considering Rome alone had millions of people shows that generally genetic displacement of tribes never happened.

There was a Cornish Kingdom for a few hundred years after the Romans left but they were conquered by the King of Wessex and have been part of England since. I do think they are a national minority though. I don't understand the begrudgement a lot of people have towards the Cornish for having their own identity.

Yeah, but that is not how nations are constructed. Cornish nationhood begins really in opposition to Anglo-Saxon rule and because they were cut off from other Celtic groups they became distinct.
