This is the wonderful fromage I'm eating at the moment ... how on Earth would you prefer eating the plastic you call cheese rather than this gastronomic piece of pure deliciousness ?
>>
>>52039414
Oh boy, is that Saint Nectaire ?
>>
But I wouldn't
I'd prefer the fromage
>>
looks dirty, learn some hygiene you french monkey.
>>
Does it taste like armpits?
>>
>>52039454
I love Saint Nectaire but I used to live in Auvergne therefore I ate it all the time, needed for a bit of change recently ! That's a Tomme de Savoie, really good imo.

>>52039496
Said the mongrel eating Lutefisk.

>>52039465
Now you're the ameribro.
>>
>>52039414
That had better be vegan!
>>
>>52039414
Beaufort and Conté are better though.
>>
>>52040651
You mean Comté ? I have some friends from Franche-Comté, and they introduced me to la Cancoillotte, I love it so far.

Casu-Marzu.jpg

How popular is this stuff over there?
>>
>>52039414
Are you implying that doesn't look like plastic as well? Fucking dumbass
>>
>>52042047
Casu Marzu is from Sardinia ... looks a bit extreme, I wouldn't try it tbqh

>>52042184
You've never tried real food, am I right ?
>>
>>52042669
Oh? I read that it was made in Corsica as well
>>
>>52043041
>Tomme de savoie is made in Corsica

Plus haut des lel
>>
>he etas on the same desktop he uses for studying/working

absolutely haram
>>
>>52043041
Don't listen to french anon who posted after you, he can't read english.

Well, I've heard Casu Marzu is also made in some remote corsican villages, but it's a typical sardinian product, I'm sure about it.
>>
>>52043041
THIS is from Corsica, and it's way better than that weird stuff with worms in it..
>>
>>52043227
>mfw when I live in a student-tier small flat
I haven't got much of a choice whatsoever ... though it wouldn't bother finding some cheese in my stuff
>>
>>52043416
ayyyylmao
>>
>>52039687
Les deux sont superbes mais je prefere St. Nectaire peh

Les gars français de 20-30 ans ont-ils le goût pour les fromages traditionnels?
>>
>>52043130
come on, he was obvisouly talking about casu marzu

that being said, Corsica probably also has some nasty things
>>
>>52043721
Mon favori reste le Bleu d'Auvergne suivi du St Nectaire, mais bon derrière y'a un attachement régional et culturel donc ça compte pas pêh
>>
>>52039414
Most American supermarkets have wide selections of cheese, anon
>>
>>52043933
look all the same..
600 varieties.. are you talking about size ?
>>
>>52043933
Is it expensive though ? What kind of fromage do they offer ?
>>
>>52044076
We're all rich so no it's not expensive.

The closest vons has a little carousel of imported cheeses by country. Most is pretty basic varieties from that country. Like the italy part has a few gorgonzolas, mozzarella, parmigiano, pecorino and some weird ones I haven't tried.

And there's other sections with domestic cheese, mostly the good shit is from wisconsin.
>>
>>52044449
Fine. By the way I've heard Roquefort and other fromage from France were outright banned from importation in the US, is that true ? I feel outraged if so.
>>
>>52044629
because Amerikeks can't stand our glorious food, that's all anon.
>>
>>52044076
For some reason, they're imposing insane taxes on French cheese importations. Whenever Murrika is butthurt about France for some reason, they tax cheese, champagne and foie gras.
>>
>>52044947
Let it be my dear anon. They will never know the sweet taste of French food unless they come to us.
>but m-muh freedom
>>
>>52044629
No it's not banned, that's retarded

Also Wisconsin cheese is shit tier Scandinavian/German style cheese (rubber and plastic), the best cheese (English and French) comes from Vermont

>>52044947
Pure fantasy
>>
>>52039687
Lutefik is norwegian
>>
>>52045616
http://theweek.com/speedreads/446842/fda-effectively-banned-some-fancy-cheeses-like-roquefort

How dare they even call roquefort and tomme de savoie (the fromage in my picture) 'fancy cheese' by the way ? That's heresy.
>>
>>52046165
http://www.fda.gov/Food/NewsEvents/ucm413309.htm
>>
>>52046846
Different standards I guess. I'd be more concerned towards GMO-filled products in the US rather than some inoffensive bacteria found in French fromage.
