How popular is it in your country for a young person to offer a seat to an older person / pregnant women while in the bus/tram/metro/whatever? Are people in your country well mannered in public spaces?
Pic kinda related, I guess

It's nice to do so. You don't HAVE to but it's always nice to be considerate of others.
>Are people in your country well mannered in public spaces?
Most Americans are well mannered in public places (or at least try to be)
> Are people in your country well mannered in public spaces?
it varies

By skin colour?
Oops, I forgot to include my opinion in OP. I have encountered situations when a young person was reprimanded by a bystander for not offering a seat. It's one of these things that I was taught since child. On the other hand, old people are fucking savages while entering/exiting vehicles.

Literally everyone stands because they don't want to give up a seat but also don't want to get their photo posted on the internet

>get them from the inside
Good thinking chap

As a young person, I intentionally avoid making eye contact with people who don't have a seat
I'm busy doing uni work with a laptop out so it just means I have to stare at a computer screen

Well, to be honest I also don't give a fuck when I'm reading/studying unless someone is dying next to me.
