I've lived here since I was born 23 years or so ago so I'm probably biased, but I really really hate it here. I've always lived in Utah Valley, which is south of SLC, so that's also probably affected my view because I've grown up amongst members of a toxic cult.
But overall, Utah is safe but really boring. The weather is shit (102 F in summer and -5 in winter, fall and spring last like 1 month usually.), the road construction is shit, the drivers are shit, the nightlife is shit, the concert scene is shit, and the public education is shit.

Funnily enough I've done a good amount of traveling and really like big cities. Seen NYC, London, Chicago, Detroit, LA, and Seattle so far. The more I travel the more I hate Utah though, the most depressing moment is flying in through the cloud cover and seeing the utter waste of space that most of the state is.
I do have plans of moving but can't afford it until I have 2~ years of school done first because out tuition for out of state students is absurd at most places. But if I had a choice I'd either go far North West to Washington state or Oregon or to the other side and live in Maine or New Hampshire.
