Well it's a long story, you see we kinda lost control of Finland and that was a bit of a fuckup from our part and then the russians had them for a bit and things were very awkward, then they got independence and made their own country without barely thinking about joining up with our lot again. It doesn't help that there's many swedes still left in Finland to add to the awkwardness. Then we had a bit of a chance to make up for some bad decisions in ww2 but we kinda just didn't and now it's far too late to do anything about it.
