Most buildings are were repurposed to become a university in 1818, before that they served as the city castles of the local rulers.
The faculty of Law was built in 1967 because of war damages and growing student numbers, and if I recall correctly, it was voted the ugliest building in the whole city a few times

Those are other dorms, also the school owns a lot of land for a nature reserve. The whole campus is protected area so there are swamps everywhere. There's even alligators in front of the dining hall.
