You can basically come here with no language knowledge, but you have to learn it fast. Our university requieres most non-exchange foreigners to reach C1 proficiency at the end of their studies. The industry is mostly focused on those, but they try to open up a bit. A large company will offer jobs for highly qualified english speakers. Smaller companies might not be able to do so.

It's a lot of work yeah but I found it really interesting so it wasn't too bad. Some of the Chemistry was nightmarish though. In Ireland it depends on what collage or Uni you want to get into. For the undergrad you need mostly B's in our 'high school' exams. With at least 1 Science subject, for the masters the Uni's look at your undergrad results and work experience (if you have any).

A Master is normally the entry degree for research positions, so you will have lots of competition. Not knowing the language might work against you there. If I were you, I would try a Ph.D in a University. There you actaully get paid quiete well (~50k) and will aquiere all language skills needed.
