I live at 510 meters, and pic related is a town of 30.000 people at 950/1.050meters

Denver has an altitude of 1700m, and has about three million people living in the metro area.

My city locates in a pit (well, riverbank) among highland, so it differs from 50 to 250+ meters above sealevel. In early winter like now, when river isnt iced, there is always fog in a high so its really looks like Skyrim.
Only 1000+ m settlement I had visited was Olympic training center on Caucasus.

Just only about 100m above sea level.
There are at least 20 or so cities in Turkey over 1000 altitude but most of those cities are not as populated as other cities with few exceptions like the city Van which has a million people living and 1727 m altitude
