Not OP here, but what are some sources of entertainment to learn Ukrainian specifically? I know Russian fluently already (I've been speaking it since childhood), so I can probably absorb Ukrainian media at this point. It's just depressing to me that I don't understand the language of my homeland very clearly.

Its not holywood kind of things.They do it from soul and sure gags are diffrent and rest its deppend from what you watching but its like that.While on West its important and in first plan to movie have mass shooting etc rambo come bang bang kill all,alot of bullets,explosions and that mumbo jumbo in Russian focus is on story and what action is all about.Cartoons are like that too.They carefully guide you trough it and pretty small details in it could have big detal and also all sometime reflect reality.
With games i dont know i think their gaming industry is not so big so not very much important.You could always use Russian language and subs in games and downoad some mod for russian voice over if you want.

Stressed vowels are the only ones that are fully pronounced. The farther vowel is from the stressed syllable the stronger is the reduction. У and Ы don't get reducted as much as the other vowels. Which syllable is the stressed one has to be memorized for every word.
