Used to get a few days of snow a year as a kid (I'm in the South Island) but it hasn't snowed here for a while now.

Pretty mild. In January gets all the way down to -36 Celsius.

Depending on your opinion of rain it can be comfy. I like it, especially at night when the rain is pouring down outside. My family has a property out in the countryside which I go to sometimes and it's really isolated and when it rains there it's the most comfy thing ever, the house has a tin roof so you hear the rain drops falling on the roof.

We get snow for a couple days then have a week or so of sunny weather. Mostly never have lots of snow on the ground for weeks at a time though we get quite a bit.

i love snow when it's falling but when it's a few months in to the winter and there's dirty snow all over the place it blows.
