I think it's because land ownership in Greece is different from what we're used to in, say England. It's quite common for people to own their little piece of land on which they build their house, so you don't get large planned construction sites and housing projects that look harmonic from afar.

This park is just 15 minutes from my house. Every year a beer festival is held there. In that park used to live Fix, (Fix is also the brand of the beer).
Next to that park is a very beautiful Catholic church and next to that an Orthodox one.
Between these two is a beautiful square with taverns and cafes.

Also near to where I live. Concerts are held there and there are lots of cafes, pubs, restaurants and taverns around. There is also a metro station.
You can also smoke weed if you want there and no one will tell you anything. People are very friendly and you can talk to anyone if you want.

I'm not even joking desu, it's normalfags. The poorest you get, the more prone people are into going to clubs, not completing school, doing recreational drugs, etc.
The most autistic regions are the green ones (like the one I live in desu).
The blue regions are beautiful, but the south ones near the sea, are inhabited by rich normalfags, so there are the most problems.
All in all, the northern part of Athens is the best, because it's were the best air is, and richer people used to go there to live.
