My experience at my favourite nightclub here:

>have ID scanned
>they take a photo of you (still weirds me out)
>walk up 3 sets of stairs to a room full of bass and people in expensive clothing
>Music is all modern rap, trap, etc.
>buy a drink (whiskey coke or gin & tonic for me)
>light up a joint
>dance a bit, feel cool for smoking indoors (illegal here)
>get tired and forget why I ended up coming
>people-watch for a bit and then go home once my gf is sleepy
My experience at shitty nightclubs here:

>people fight every single night
>shitty outdated pop music
>shitty nostalgia songs
>people throwing up
>security kicking out anyone for anything possible so they can charge more people money to get in
All nightclubs here charge cover ($15 - $25 entry fee) for some reason. Some bars do too which is awful.
I don't like going out much but I enjoy seeing concerts frequently, some of which are at nightclubs.
