At least they have control over making their own laws now.

They can start to fix things by shutting down unchecked immigration. Boom, all of a sudden you're the envy of a Western Europe now taking on increased burdens. Running the country along such rational lines also instills confidence in the stability of the market. Now thats something the transnational global elite cannot manipulate to their advantage.

Funny thing is, the immigrants that everyone actually voted to get rid of (Muslims) will still come here, perhaps in even greater numbers. As a result of Brexit, Britain will become less white. Oh, and lead Leave campaigners are now also talking about negotiating for free movement of labour with the EU in return for access to the single market which is exactly what we had before.

Lel, just admit it, people who voted leave want to see a tighter immigration law, but the problem is that there was EU blocking you from changing it before you left, now that it is in your governments hands to change the law on it it wont be done anyway because it is too racist even for conservatives, you would havw to get UKIP in power to get anywhere close to that happening.
>>
>>61397659
They are innocent in some ways. Seeing their upsets, it seems like most of them REALLY didnt know what would happen.
They seem to have been most shocked by the pounds free fall.
Everyone is being uptight over it and says, even /pol/acks says, "i-it w-will bounce back and fully recover soon!!". lmao

Now they are just in full on anxious mode about pound, economy in general, rages in other euros, actual racism awareness of retards irl, pressures from the EU, and secondary disaster/aftermath, but all of these cant be easily solved and fixed.

>>
>>61402588
The problem is that only a few of people who voted leave realise what I just explained and many even now are already backtracking and want to remain in the EU after seeing the exonomical hit(which should have been expected).

This will lead UK to guaranteed instability politically as your government ignores the peoples will to leave, a second vote is called, or you actually leave only to look to re join right after. If you have started to go trough with it(by it I mean a tighter immigration law) and whimper out all the losses you took in the process will be for nothing. You either go trough or loose it all now.

when you can't get a job and there's foreigners everywhere it is the obvious conclusion to come to, 2bh.

but this changes nothing. the nhs is too popular but it can't survive without immigrants - if anything you need to import more under an 'Australian style points system' to fill the existing gaps.

>it's extremely unlikely to believe we can have all our demands met.

Well no shit, but the reason we voted to leave was because of free movement of people. There's no access to the single market without being subject to that and in the long run the drawbacks of mass-immigration would outweigh the damage caused during these next 3 or 4 years of uncertainty. The EU is falling apart anyway and trade with them has been decreasing as a percentage of world trade year on year for a long time. It's good to get out before the inevitable next couple of Greek bailouts.

>what he's postulating is just a pipe dream.

One thing is absolutely for certain, the EU is not going to stop British people living, travelling studying etc. over there. The Spanish economy is reliant on British homebuyers for instance. The only real point of contention between the two parties (after all the vindictive politicking ends) will be the economic arrangements. We won't have access to the single market nor have to accept free movement of people, but a separate trade deal is probably on the cards as Britain is one of the EU's most important trading partners. The economic chaos in the European markets has thankfully proved just how important we are to an extent I don't think any British person would have thought possible until last week.
>>
>>61397315
It would be fair to give a country that had a net immigration from other EU countries the right to have emigration to the EU until the total net immigration becomes zero again.

>we are to an extent I
well, duh. The obvious issue that is up in the air right now is how long are negotiations going to take and how much damage will they do. key businesses and firms could easily look to relocate abroad to stay in the Eurozone. Trade deals don't just materialise overnight and if firms feel they're losing out then they'll just get out.

I don't deny that Britain could get a reasonable trade agreement - but no one can rationally deny that it comes down to timing and the strengths of the negotiator (and we don't even know who that will be yet). Because we are in such uncharted waters it's impossible to say that everything is going exactly to Boris' plan - even if things do work out well in the end for Britain.
>>
So, do Brits really regret the vote, or is it just a ruse?

Mostly a ruse. The people who "regret" it voted for Remain and not Leave. Millenials have been raging on social media for days, demanding another referendum and throwing hyperboles out like there's no tomorrow. The country voted to Leave, the elite bubble centred on socialist Scotland and multicultural London with its financial services and law firms voted to Remain.
>>
>>61403764
if you believe the recent poll around a million leave voters do. I have a friend who voted leave who's now regretting it, so I don't think it would be uncommon for some to change their mind. Just depends if you believe the recent survey.
