How will Scotland fair in Indy2 following this massive political divide?

I predict the EU will want to really twist the knife to the UK, and what better way than to give Gibraltar to Spain, take Scotland, and offer it great trade deals to steal away any UK investment.

That, and the Scottish are livid with the outcome. Not one Scottish Local Authority wanted to Leave, most were majority Remain. They were screwed over in 2014 by empty promises. They were told to stay for a secure economy and secured membership of the EU.

is this beginning of the end for the UK as a world leader?
>>
>>61239836

55% voted to stay last time, and at least that amount will again, especially without the EU propping them up.

There's 400 million threads about this on /pol

Scotland not going anywhere. Its time to pull Britain together and make it great again, not further divide it out of socialism and spite.

Rule Britannia!

I think we'll achieve it this time. I voted Yes personally but the amount of No voter butthurt here is unreal. The vast majority of them regret their decision and are crying about this harder than the Yes camp.

After all, who do the Unionists even have left to rally behind? Labour and the Lib Dems are dead here, we hate the Tories and UKIP, and the Greens are staunchly pro-independence.

>>61240048

That makes absolutely no sense.
>>
>>61240048
The EU will want to support us. If it can show the other members that leaving the EU will literally tear your country apart, they'll give Scotland the best deals they can come up with. It could also lead to stealing lots of UK investment for Scotland, another "fuck you" to the Brexiters.

>>61240249
As did I, but it was a very close and heated debate. Many of the Pro-Union arguments have been destroyed by the outcome of this referendum.

I'm keeping my beady eye on Ruth Davidson. She was Pro-EU and Pro-UK. She now has her supporters hearing her Pro-EU arguments ringing in their ears, and how she's going to be able to backtrack that the EU isn't that great is in question.
>>
>>61240582

Last I heard the Scottish Tories wanted to split from the Tories themselves. If Ruth was smart she'd support independence to give her party a footing in Scotland instead of swimming against the currents.
>>
Is Scotland without Britain is a viable country to join the EU? I heard it's east European tire and depends more on England than on EU anyway. Will scots prefer free access to Paris in return of not being able to go to London. Seems unviable to me.
In reality, the EU leadership especially Merkel will negotiate a good deal with Britain so all stays the same economicaly.
>>
>>61240706
If Ruth and Nicola teamed up on this matter, a ScotXit would be an absolute certainty. But I have my doubts. She leads the Conservative and UNIONIST Party, after all. I don't think she'd be willing to split her voters the same way Labour have done.

Why do they want to join the EU so bad when the EU basically told them to fuck off during their own referendum? Are Scots the biggest cucks imaginable?
>>
>>61240048
This is so moronic. Britain literally got nothing from its exit except a massive economic hit when every single major financial institution moves half of its London assets to Frankfurt and Dublin.
>>
>Scotlands economy was based on oil being $200 a barrel
>it's been below $50 for over a year
>they'd be in a major economic crisis depending on bailouts already
No way this is going to happen
>>
Anyone got that webm of a bunch of kilt-wearing jocks screaming freedom, and then voting 'no'?

Always makes me laugh, that one.
>>
>>61241074

>heard it's east European tier

Literally retarded statement. Scotland would be as well off as any other Northern European country, all it needs is a diversification of its industry.

>Will scots prefer free access to Paris in return of not being able to go to London

It was already confirmed last referendum that this generation of Scots and their grandkids would have dual citizenship.

>Scotland would be as well off as any other Northern European country
>This is what ScotNos actually believe

>East European tier
The only people who say that are our eternal rivals, the English Working Class.

Scotland is a viable country on it's own, all we need is some foreign investment, which the EU will be more than happy to give us to stick it to the Brexiters.

You'd think the EU would want to stay with the UK, but in reality they're just going to take as much business from the UK as possible. The EU needs to be seen to punish the UK. Like in prison, if anyone disagrees with you, kick their brains out their nose in the yard. Everyone else will tow the line.
>>
>>61241734

Now's the part where you're going to prove it's Eastern Europe tier I hope.
>>
>>61241876
The fact that you're already Eastern European tier proves my point.

You're not suddenly going to become fantastically wealthy overnight by leaving the UK. That's complete fantasy nonsense.
>>
I predict this period of time is going to be known in future history textbooks as the British Revolution.
>>
>>61242001
Assuming all goes well.

I kind of look forward to a nice EU v US proxy war for economic dominance.

I'd like to see your evidence for that as well

This. The best they can get is a trade agreement with the EU.

they'll adopt the euro and use all their oil monies to become norway v2.0
>>
>>61241806
Isn't that kinda like proving you're not a bully by beating up the person accusing you of being a bully? Because part of brexit reason is complaining how EU likes to push its member around.
>>
>>61239836
Scotland simply can't have another referendum though. They just had one knowing fully well that if they stayed they would be at risk of leaving the EU. We've known very well this referendum has been coming for a long time.
>>
>>61242457
It'll be a juicy trade deal though. The EU want's to cripple the UK's economy as a punishment, but much of the business is well anchored in the UK. Scotland is culturally British, despite being worlds apart in politics. Scotland in the EU may be seen as a better business decision than the UK out of the EU for many.
>>
>>61242670
>their oil monies

Not so fast, that's the UK's oil, not Scotland's.

And this is a problem in itself due to >>61241279.

no

>>61242786
Not really, it's more like proving that they are a powerful friend, and even more powerful enemy.

Take Gibraltar for example. Spain has always wanted it, but nothing has really been done because the EU kept the peace. Now, the UK has left the club, and the EU's interests in the matter are the interests of it's friend, Spain.

I sure hate having higher GDP per head and free university tuition, fucking hell. Just charge me £9000 a year and privatise my NHS senpai please I beg you.
