Stop taking yourself so seriously and learn to relax a little bit.

Do things that a) Earn you money or b) Make you feel good

>i am sorry i don't want to sound like this at all

Easy bro.

As I've said, stop taking yourself so seriously.

Go on an acid trip and think about your life, think about it long and hard.

Make some goals in your life, what do YOU really want to do in life? Think about it for a few days, think about it for a few weeks.

Write your main goals down. Now, EVERYTHING you do in life MUST get you closer to those goals, if it doesn't, stop doing it.

If your family is holding you back from your goals, or at least not helping you achieve them, say bye and cut off your family.

If your friends are retarded, cut them off, find new friends who actually enrich your life and get you closer to your goals.

Stop wasting time on dumb shit that doesn't get you closer to your goals

That's completely false. Poor and dumb people are the most obsessed about Politics.

Exhibit number one: All the Tumblr retards circlejerking for Bernie or the retards on /pol/ masturbating for Trump and posting Trump pepes and MAGA

A - abortion
P - politics
E - economics

It works for the elites. The whole system of American neoliberalism is set up to self-propagate and defend itself.

It indirectly (or directly) kills off any other systems.

For example, the Soviet Union probably would still be around in a far better state than it ended up being, if the US and allies hadn't opposed it.
And vice versa.

Our country is great at fucking up other countries. It then makes neutral ones copy us, leading to an even stronger incentive to not test out new systems.

Look at anyone that even slightly opposes the USA. They get fucked.

Anonymity kills prejudice, but leads to lack of trust.

I wish we didn't have flags.

Two anons on /k/ were shitposting about China having no strategic transports. I proved them wrong with a link to Janes.

They'll continue being bigoted, but at least I won't see that shitpost from them again (I hope).

I also made Mama Spain, that poster from a day ago, pretty happy by showing her my drawings.

Finally, I convinced a Japan-anon in January to apologize to his son and go hang out at the park with his wife and son. He had hit his son and the family hadn't talked in weeks so he came to 4chan drunk. It was hilarious, but he posted proof later. He brought his wife flowers.

>but I don't recall a single instance of people instantly changing their opinions over a heated argument over something controversial like politics or religion, especially on the internet

It doesn't happen.

People stick to their own opinions, often times angrier and more strongly than before.

Unless someone specifically asks you for advice or your opinion(even then, it's 50/50 - DON'T SHARE YOUR WORTHLESS OPINION.

Make your opinion known. But realize when to cut your losses, and when to press it.

Some people will never change their mind. Yet, saying that it is pointless to try is wrong. Maybe it is not irrational, but it is wrong.

I changed my views on the Holocaust when I talked to a German anon in a meetup in Munich and we saw Dachau together.

Never have gone back to /pol/ after that.
>>
>>60924389
oh yeah no that never happens

but when the argument is over you think about what they say and you realize they were obviously right
and later on you pretend you always held this opinion

I find myself like that on 4chan.

I catch myself contradicting what I said a week ago far too often.

And usually it is just a pointless argument over semantics.

It's not the same though as changing peoples opinions over some controversal shit in an argument.
>>60924565
Arguing over shit and going and seeing things by yourself is not the same.

Enjoy spending the best years of your life trying to convince people of osme shit all day

I guess we see "changing people's opinions" differently.

Can I change a Christian's view of Jesus by saying Jesus was a faggot 8000 times?
No.

Can I change a Christian's view on 99% of issues?
Probably.
>>
>>60924880
I'm here doing exactly what I want.

You can change people's minds. It just takes the right methods and tactics and effort.

The good and bad thing about 4chan is you can never really be sure. If I changed a million minds or none here, it wouldn't change a thing to me. How would I know?
>>
>>60924604
I don't recall seing exactly this happen in a long time still, sometimes after though, you may think than I guess they had some valid points, but their opinion in general still sounds stupid to you. You may even see that if you were presented with these points in a better environment of learning it yourself and not by arguing with a random person over the internet, you've been able to draw conclusions from them much better.

I would call you naive for really thinking so, but well, you may as well try.

Wanna know how I know you work a shitty job?

Nah lad, it's pretty decent, get paid to commute, get free half hour of money in the morning for travel time as well, shit's easy and relaxed too. Then again, I work IT for a mining company, and as such the users I have to deal with are unusually retarded and inept (literally the guys down in the mines asks me to fix broken down shitbox because nigga be filled with coal dust and sheeeit)... ok, yeah, it's shitty.
