Yeah, it makes more sense to have universal healthcare. With it, you pay a small amount in taxes, compared to paying a bill for insurance + a bill of tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars if you get sick or break a leg. For universal healthcare, costs are spread over a longer period of time, so it's easier to pay and you don't get rekt from hospital bills.
There are some Americans out there that say that we have better survival rates for some illnesses, but of course we're going to have higher survival rates when we have insurance companies denying people due to pre-existing conditions.

I make enough to rent an entire small house and yard to myself. I drive an older GTI, just bought my first motorcycle, I have a few guns, etc.

Most people here already had health insurance. They made a big stink about 28% or what ever of the population not being insured and went hunting for stories of people not being able to have surgeries and all that. It was mostly young people who simply weren't buying insurance so they fixed all that by just forcing them to because the insurance companies of course want as many people who are just going to be sending them money for decades without having to pay out anything.
Anyway only idiots think things are free.
Their costs are just taken right out of their paychecks and by other means for their entire working lives and their systems are just becoming larger and larger problems as more and more people are not working to pay into it and even worse with these influxes of immigrants coming into their countries.
