JNTHED is good, but it's still illustration, more experimental than anything you'll see here but only because everyone on /ic/ is creatively bankrupt. If you want things that stand out, you'll need to go elsewhere, people who are capable of more individualistic thought left 4chan or burned out.

Like where?
No ruler, no perspective alignment, all free style. This is how I like drawing. Sure it could be better I know. But it's how I like it and yes I'm still trying to improve it in ways I see fit. Not trying to make it my profession but I love drawing like this. I'll post more if anyone is interested. I usually edit on photoshop and add some effects or fix a couple of things here and there.

The key word being "generic". Look at JNTHED's work for example: he does anime /manga stuff but it's stylised in a way that goes beyond your usual animu stuff.
Ashley wood.and phil hale would be another example.
