Great atmosphere, I fucking love the tree. The character kinda pulls the whole thing down because they're too detailed and badly drawn overall and doesn't adhere to the perspective.

So yeah, I'd get rid of the character.

reminds me of "dont starve" very well done Although I think the character feels kind of "out of place" and the drawing on its own is interesting enough without it

In contrary to what other posters have said, I like the char in the background but it definitely needs to be smaller so that it's not the focus of the image

I'm not a huge fan of the placement. I also don't mind a single figure but I think the drawing would be stronger if the figure wasn't centrally placed.

I don't really know all the color terms, but it could use more contrast. Make the shadows darker. My art teacher said a good drawing has at least 5 levels of lighting.
