And you don't? Whenever there's a regular in these threads with at least some fundamental knowledge in drawing, there's at least 20 replies with "omg anon holy shit what a good work!! Blog?!". People see this and see it as pointless dick riding. The "it's shit" argument has been gone over multiple times. It's not that people take pride in being vague, it's that it says more in comparison to those pointless compliments. Nobody thinks that saying "it's shit" or being deliberately vague is better than thought out critique. When someone wants to be literally spoonfed to something, it's frustrating. There's a huge catalog of instructions to these things. We have a sticky and a regular artbook thread with a backlog of resources. When someone asks for too much, that's when it gets obnoxious because they could literally do the research themselves. This would be more beneficial for them when the books go more indepth on the issue in hand than any anon could here. This ofcourse is too much for a beginner, and when they're redirected to the sticky, they take it out with spouting salty jelly or whatever little buzzword they have. Think about it. They're not spouting it because the person was wrong, but because they want to see if that person is worthy of giving them critique. This mentality is assbackwards for 2 reasons.
1. You do not need to prove yourself to be able to give critique on a technical level. Ofcourse you would take it more seriously if it came from someone who did it as a profession, but if you understand the subject matter and are able to point out the flaws thats enough

What you are saying here are all plain lies. As you said I decide which critique is more or less relevant to me, and I say it loud and clear a lot of the time. This doesn't mean I ignore stuff like samefacing (very relevant), big lips (less relevant to me), and other stuff that can easily fall in the "my opinion" category. I am primarily here to get anatomy, perspective and composition critique and everything I am grateful for everything I get about these topics.
