Why does philosophy claim there is no way to be fulfilled and be a hedonist? Seems like bias with no empirical basis whatsoever.
Science says it too, the hedonic treadmill ensures that you'll never be satisfied with a particular set of pleasures.
Whether or not you'll be satisfied with any other philosophical pursuit is another matter entirely.
Personally I'd contend that hedonism is a pretty fundamental aspect of our neurology, due to the way the reward mechanisms of our mind work. It serves a purpose and pleasure should be generally preferred to pain. But temper this with an understanding that pleasure is neither good, nor pain evil. Some things that make you happy may destroy you, some things that bring you pain may make you great.

First of all why do you need the sanction of "philosophy" to be a hedonist?
You don't need philosophy to be a hedonist. In fact hedonism is the default way of life of every man and beast. The only reason they don't get everything they want is because nature is harsh and society is complex.
You mean hedonist philosophy? I don't think the ascetics think like that

The pornography principle. A Hedonist always to more or different stimuli to achieve the same satisfaction from his nasty dealings. Hedonism is like Heroin. You need more for the same buzz.
