Haramase Simulator 2017 is an open ended visual-novel focused on the impregnation 'fetish'. In it, you are free to roam around and impregnate as many women as you can, provided you know how to manage your stamina, money and other stats. The game is currently being worked on by a bunch of anons, and it's in the very early stages of development, so expect it to be a little rough around the edges. The characters are an ensemble of some of our favorite hentai girls, shamelessly ripped off from commercial japanse visual novels. Sauce for them is in the README (along with some other useful information).
-Old saves won't work, start a new game.
-Girls now have varying fertility values depending on the time of the month, including a 'Safe' week where it's impossible to impregnate them.
-Added two new girls: Hayasaki and Mashiro. Hayasaki's scene will trigger after a couple of weeks, Mashiro's will require a bit of looking around.
-Michelle's script has been greatly expanded and is 100% complete. Unlocking all her scenes should take a while
-Added the 'Bottle of Lube' item to the store. It's used to trigger a few scenes so make sure to stock up!
-It will be necessary to start a new game, as old save files are incompatible.
-Explore mode reworked to use a Artificial Academy-style map. Still quite underdeveloped in terms of content.
-Locked a few more girls. It should be easy to figure out how to unlock them.
-Added original BGM tracks provided by Ryoji along with a music room where you can listen to them (make sure to buy the Soundtrack Item in the store)
-Added additional HCG to Hinako's sex scene.
-The game will give you actual Cancer if you don't delete your saves and start a new game.

found a bug where I won the largest lottery and when I deposited it in the bank, Touko popped up. Now every time I go to the bank I cant use the bank system because her menu is there. and she is still locked in the harem screen even though you can access her at the bank.

It may be that I'm lucky, but I found that 1 in every 15ish lottery tickets won. Without even save scumming, I was able to win 4 of the highest lottery tickets, the first paid for itself twenty times over. I almost feel like there should be a limit on overtime when working. I've left the game running for the past few days as I went to sleep and work IRL, and got well over 300k from overtime alone. Now, after depositing the lion's share of my money in the bank every time I get home and blast through a few weeks, I've got over half a million in the bank without "cheating", but also without any effort. I tried out the quiz game and the lottery for shits and giggles, but I haven't really needed to actually work for my money lol.
Or is this the intended purpose of the overtime system?

Absolutely, money will need some balancing, but as far as testing stuff goes for right now, it's probably fine.
You could leave this thing on overnight or go and watch some show and come back with 50k at least right now, then putting it all in the bank, rinsing and repeating, you'd never run out of money.
If working overtime cost stamina based on the nature of the job (I.E. Construction takes stamina really fast, but watching other people work doesn't) it could be well balanced, and also, adding occasional bank robberies paired with the up to 200k savings is 100% insured thing, or a variant of that, could stop people from just stockpiling wheelbarrows of free cash and living off interest forever.
But for right now, for the sake of ironing out late-game bugs, we should hold off on lowering the money flow.
I tried to add another girl, but cannot figure it out (no experience with python here)
What I did:
Copied game\characters\Rumines to game\characters\Kanade
Renamed rumines.rpy to kanade.rpy
Renamed rumines.rpyc to kanade.rpyc
In kanade.rpy I replaced all occurrences of
rumines with kanade
Rumines with Kanade
rum with kan
When I start the game, I get this error:

I haven't even touched girlslist.rpy yet. Btw, would it be possible to split that file up so all character related resources end up in the character directory? That way one could just drop in a directory and doesn't have to modify any other gamefiles. Sorta like a plugin system.

The unlock criteria is generated based on your stats at an earlier point in her sequence. So I can't verify if you currently meet the requirement. But I can say the trigger is located in her maid costume scene. So make sure you are fucking her that way from time to time.

Same for Mashiro when doing "free sex". Also, is it intended to have the hero to "free fuck" with scans in hands ? :D
Is it intended for Mashiro to have higher stamina drain than any other ladies on the same row? She gets 15 stamina for any impregnation, instead of 10 max on the same row for Hinako.

Some clicking problems : sometimes an "auto click" triggers randomly. Most of the time it does not have any effect... except on quizz, which is very annoying.
Speaking of the quizz, there is sometimes the "Icarus has found you" out of nowhere and ends your quizz streak. Might be related with the clicking problem.
Too bad you havent considered my previous suggestion about paying back a "percentage" of the girl's price rather than a flat 500 or 200 bonus impregnation...
Another question: I haven't seen any random encounter while working on lifeguard job. Not yet implemented?

It's not a "real" network, but guest-to-host network in Virtualbox because I don't run random exe files found on 4chan on anything remotely important (no offense!) ;)
I can use the network share perfectyly fine, like any other drive. If you take a closer look at the error message, it says \\\\VBOXSRV\ vs \VBOXSRV\, so maybe it's just lacking the slashes at the beginning.

Figured it out. But Python is such a pain in the ass to be honest. Which other language relies on correct whitespace intends? Oh, and no tabs, that's going to crash it...

For it to work, you need to unpack that into your game directory, and overwrite girlslist.rpy and script.rpy; you also need to delete girlslist.rpyc and script.rpy (that's what caused the errors I previous reported).
Oh, and you have to start from scratch, because otherwise some of Kira's parameters are not initialized and the game crashes. It really needs to be made more modular, otherwise you always have to restart when adding a new girl.
I tried to keep it small and used jpg instead of png (except for those images which are used for overlays). Maybe that would be good for the main release to keep it small.

I've noticed a few times now that if I have, say, 2500 credits in pocket when going home, if I pay 500 in bills, followed by 2400 towards paying off a loan, I end up with a negative amount of credits while in the house. I don't get the warning that I owe the bank either.
I don't know if this does the same thing when there is also nothing in the bank, as I have all the money.
Also, when going to talk to Michelle after the first time, her text appears one page before her room and sprite.

My strategy is to take out the biggest loan possible in turn 1, do the job 3 times and finish the week with an online job. Everything I make goes into the bank account at the end of the day.
A few turns buying nothing at all and eventually you'll be making enough that between your income and the interest that you're making more from having taken out the loan than you're losing by paying it back.
Sure, it means a boring start to the game, but around halfway through the second loan's repayment, taken out immediately after the first one ended, I had around 300k in the bank, making 4,500 from interest alone.
Considering the most expensive girl for now is 20k, it's pretty hard to spend 31,500 every 7 turn breeding cycle. And that's not even considering safe days, or your own income.
I really enjoyed this game and I think that if you need more characters or pictures, the whoremaster packs already have what you need and in an organized fashion.

I tried to refactor parts of the code (because OCD) to make it easier to add characters, but in the end had to give up due to my lack of python knowledge.
If I read the code correctly, there is a lot done with jump statements (aka goto, which is not provided by default but as a 3rd party extra). I remember that my professor once promised that every student would auto-fail classes as soon as he sees a goto statement in the code. Better switch to functional programming or you end up with unmaintainable spaghetti code.

I don't want to sound like a dick, but what imho needs to be done asap while the game is still in dev to get a clean codebase (later refactoring gets a lot more complicated):
- Functions? Functions! OO would work too, but hey
- Character definitions have to be removed from girlslist/script. Only characters/name/name.rpy should contain such information
- Using dictionaries instead of many variables for characters
- Those dicts should include all character information, like xpos/ypos/idle/hover from girlslist too
- It looks like upon start, rpy files from characters/ are loaded, since the game crashes when there is a typo. So it should be possible to iterate over that list in girlslist/script
- It might make sense to run firsttimedefine before a savefile is loaded; I think that could avoid restarting from scratch when a new chara is added
- I don't know much about Python's image abilities, but maybe it's possible to do grayscale/overlay in the girl select menu on the fly, so one just needs a single avatar icon

Those are all valid points anon, I'll keep them in mind. I absolutely agree with removing the char definitions from the base files and moving them into their own specific character files. It would certainly make adding new characters much easier.
You gotta understand it though, when I started this project a few months ago, my knowledge of renpy and scripting/programming in general was pretty much non existent. My usage of renpy was limited to linear VNs with maybe a couple of choices here there. Then I found out how to set variables, and then I learned how to use conditional statements to compare them. A week later I had the first prototype done, which I posted here on /h/. Since then I've been slowly (but steadily) learning a few new tricks, that I hope I'll make the 'code' a bit less messy. Not to mention now we have a few anons helping with the game, and I'm sure they'll have a much easier time figuring this stuff out (if they haven't already).

From the renpy docs, you can use Python too and access the renpy functions via the renpy.* class
In the long run it might be more effective to use eg renpy.display_menu, renpy.show, renpy.hide and avoid the jump cluttering spaghettis. It may look like more work, but in the end it makes life way easier

Maybe I'm thinking waaaay to much for this sort of thing, but is it wrong that this game is making me spontaneously think of ways to take the same basic premise, and take it down another road with other things going on? While musing about it I managed to make my to a scene involving a fight with another card-holder denouncing the player as a "piece of trash" because of the manner in which the player has been using his status as a card-holder and actually trying to kill the player.
Maybe one day when I can actually do the coding or artwork for a VN, I could make a fork, or just start my own...my artwork is not up to par for this though. Shading? Bitch, I can do that (or so a couple of people said). Decent-looking organic forms or people, or at least anime people? Ehhhh....not yet. Good-looking backgrounds and CGs are not within my reach yet.
Still, I like the idea of there being an HVN that reaches "plot with porn" levels and really draws the player in, with scenes changing depending on not just who you've banged and how many times, but how you've acted towards them the rest of the time. Maybe even looking at some of the effects having only 1 or so men for 10k or 20k women has had on the majority of women's perception of male-female relations.

I have a couple of gripes with the game.
Pregnancies only lasting 7 weeks is weird with no explanation, as are the arbitrary prices for girls. Why would the government make you pay more for desirable girls when they would be the ones potentially producing better offspring? I know, it's a fucking h-game, not a masterpiece of literature, but how about this: To increase the birth rate, scientists have developed a serum (or w/e) which greatly speeds up pregnancies. This serum is incredibly hard to manufacture and has to be adjusted specifically for each individual woman and used on before conception. Boom. Now you have a reason for the short pregnancies and the weirdly varying prices.
Also, the 20.000:1 ratio of women to men is absurd, you'd have every other girl just jumping on the MCs dick that way, not to mention everyone staring at him.
The whole jobs thing is weird as well, since the different jobs' skill requirements are spaced out extremely unevenly and they apparently all require the exact same skill. I can see that you don't want to overcomplicate things, but it just feels extremely odd and not thought out at all.
Lastly, there is no reason not to just earn a metric fuckton of money before doing anything else and to live off of the interest. Without a time limit (e.g. x new girls impregnated every y weeks) and infinitely scaling interest, you take away all challenge and replace it with initial tedium only. I'd remove the whole interest mechanic and money in the bank, as the investments already provide enough ongoing, passive earnings.

I've just spent the past couple of hours playing this game legit(no cheating) and it was good. I unlocked all the girls and got them all pregnant, though that low fertility chick was a pain in the ass, like holy shit, but she was meant to be hard to impregnate so I won't complain.

I appreciate your feedback anons. We know some of the concepts currently in place are flawed, but these are all things that we plan to balance and explain as we continue developing the game.
As far as the fast pregnancies go, both you this anon ( >>4282712) sort of figured out already. Gestation is sped up through some bullshit sci-fi medical procedure, allowing girls to reach term in just a few weeks. Then they go through the birthing process as usual, get healed (leaving no stretchmarks or any other 'side-effects' of birthing) and are ready to go again.
This procedure is expensive, but women impregnated by H.F.F. members have a subsidy and don't have to pay anything. This is partially why there are impregnation fees in the first place, so that the H.F.F. can fund it's operations through their male members.
Although your idea about needing to develop a specific serum for each girl kind of works as well. I'll be giving it a thought. And, if it all else fails, we can just let the players tweak the default pregnancy duration, allowing them to change it to full 9 months if desired.
As for the price variation, my idea is to say that it's in place so that men couldn't always go for the most attractive and famous girls (which are more expensive) and would eventually settle for the lower priced ones. Of course that, with this being a fantasy world, even the 'cheap' girls are still extremely attractive.

Once album is bought and played at home, restarting the game will give 2 layers of music somehow.
Half way though the game I accidentally clicked on taking a loan of the biggest amount, and pay back immediately that eats up all my savings and went broke, though not a big deal but an exasperation.

Game design wise, it makes sense. You want the high-price hoes to act as money sinks. Another Michelle-like that charges you per spurt wouldn't go amiss. By late game, I had more money than I could spend.
From a narrative perspective, it sort of makes sense. If you were in charge of repopulating the world and the H.F.F. is what you came up with, you would want the more fertile women to be cheaper priced because you want them constantly knocked up. Don't price any men out.
Although, if we're honest, in a world of 20,000 women for every one man, there would be enough women thirsty enough that they would pay your fees for you to fuck them, everytime. Probably shower you with other gifts so you'd fuck them more often, too.

The best you can do is take a loan as you start and use said money to get the nurse and your neighbor pregnant, always leave the money you don't need in the bank so in other words go home with just 4k every day, if you don't neglect your job and studies you should be getting enough to pay your daily debt and a little extra in 30 or so weeks, thus you'll be able to make all the investments and fuck whoever you want after 50 in-game weeks.
