depends on a few things; wats the target format? dunno wat container you prefer. if the container can support the format of the source audio - like if you have a 320kbps mp3 sitting around - then just mux it in :P
if youre going from lossless format like flac or pcm, then ideally high constant bitrate lc-aac. that will sound the best & encode most efficiently. next in quality, very close behind, is vorbis; its slower to encode & is picky about container (really only works with mkv & webm). after that 320kbps mp3 is your best bet

Pretty good stuff. I thought you did a good job with that song for what it was. It was pretty hard to work with imo. The lyrics don't really fit at all and the first minute of song didn't give you anything to work with so the intro was totally reliant on visuals. The source was actually kinda tough too. The scene in the bathroom, with all that steam moving around meant most of the backgrounds/foregrounds were constantly moving. I know making clean loops with that must have been a bitch and for the most part they were clean. I'm sure there were some where you just couldn't do anything about it. Having said all that, it's a solid HMV. I very much enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing more from you and thanks.

Seems pretty decent for a WIP honestly. That's a song that you're not really gonna be able to sync the action to bass or even the rhythm so much. And I can tell you did edit. You got a solid intro and you picked up on the obvious point to transition to the action. Something should probably happen at 2:02. Like a position change or something. I enjoyed, going to leave a little feedback.
The beginning was pretty heavy with the crossfades. I like to think to think crossfades are for soft and sensual bits, and it seemed out of place. IMO especially if the crossfades are less then a second long, its as eye glaring as a straight cut anyway.
The 'syncing' needs abit of touching up. It's kinda everywhere, some scenes are nicely timed, and then the next is off, and then the next is nicely timed and etc. And then alot of scenes are consistent with the beat but then trail off because it's faster/slower then the song. for example: starting at 3:25... 3:26 too slow / 3:30 on beat / 3:34 on beat but it's a couple keyframes behind / 3:41 on beat / 3:45 on beat to start, trails off slow / 3:49 on beat / 3:52 starts off beat, trail onto beat / 3:56 starts off beat, trails onto beat / 4:00 slow / 4:07 slow

I haven't seen the source material, so I could be wrong on this,(Like maybe your just working with what you've got) but a habit I'm picking up from you is that your HMV's are very, very linear. Start with one scene, finish it, move to next scene, finish it, move to next scene, finish it, end of hmv. That's a fine way to get started making HMV's, and IMO it sure as hell is alot easier, but don't fall into that pitfall like I did. Once that train of thinking instills itself in your brain, it's SO tough to get out of that thought process.
Anyways, to the HMV itself and the reason I pointed that out, I really wish this HMV was more varied. Throw some paint on the wall and leave it where it sticks! The song itself gave you ALOT of room to have fun with it, and I think the HMV could be better if it wasn't so linear this time around. This goes against the thinking of a linear thought process, but if a scene is SUPER HOT, you can use it over and over again. doesn't just have to be just one a shot wonder. (And in reverse to that, if a scene just isn't doing it, or if it has a wonky animation kink don't use it)
As for technical bits, pretty much the same as above, the song has a crazy beat so it doesn't have to be on beat like a kick-snare song would like to be, just as long as it's close and every now and then there is some sort of connection between the song and video every now and then (like a nicely timed reaction face)

Couple things as far as video editing goes.
Cut the bit rate down. 10.1 Mbps is damn insane when you're using DVD upscales in the first place. You could comfortable cut it down to 1Mbps, maybe bump it up to 2 if you get to better terms with the editing software and start doing some more movement-heavy editing techniques.
Why are you using 60fps? Again, I'd maybe see why if you'd some some crazy edits, but at this stage there really isn't any need for it. This isn't to say do the crazy edits from the start, you need to get familiar with editing video before you can start making the good edits. Cutting down the fps to that of the source material (usually 24 in these cases) would also help the bit rate go further.
And just something minor, if you can, find non-subtitled versions of the hentai you're editing. You can find raws easily enough, and they're usually even easier to put into an editor, without any .mkv bullshit. Subtitles tend to ruin it for me, though that might just be me. I end up reading the damn things.
Everything else I think I have to say is subjective to taste. You're doing pretty well for how long you've been editing though.

The video itself didn't have interpolation, so I would assume it was an oversight by someone who's not comfortable with the editor yet. It was still worth mentioning because it's something that needs to change.
On the subject of interpolation in Hentai/HMV's however, It's a much trickier beast, given that although the sources are rendered as 24fps, the actual movement in animation only takes place once every 3 frames. In effect only making it 8fps. Interpolating 8fps up to 60fps is a fools errand, especially given that the interpolation software will recognise the video as 24fps and will only fill in the gaps there. The software attempts to interpolate between frames that don't actually change and that either works, and you end up with smooth video between the frames that do change but between the frames that don't, nothing happens, creating a visible stuttering effect. Or it doesn't work and morphing and distortion are commonplace.
The exception here is 3D rendered hentai, as it is most commonly sourced in 30fps or higher, leading to a much easier time interpolating. That is, of course, only when the studio itself hasn't offered a 60fps version of the content.
TL;DR interpolating 2D animated videos is mostly a waste of time unless it's done in real time on the viewers end with something like SVP.

I've already mentioned it to MoonHero, but try not to form a habit of making HMV's 100% linear. ( >>4110856 ) Basically, in a nutshell, if a scene is hot, you can use it more then once!
Also, your starting to get better at syncing, but it's an effort of making sure the level of sync you have in the beggining stays consistent till the end.

Also, all in all, I'd rather folks err on the side of quality over file size. If that means a few bloated file sizes, so be it. Better than folks trying to keep their file sizes low and rendering lower quality stuff. Not that you can't have both, but quality is more important.

So, your asking, what is a non linear HMV and are linear HMV's 'poor hmv's'?
That's... surprisingly hard to explain each arguements. I can't put it to words right this moment, but I can use examples from the more popular stuff, wait, nvm hmvtube is expired. Ok, just look up these artists on the drive.
Completely non-linear HMV's would be more of the style that Hentype typically produces, or, pretty much randomness thrown into an HMV with editorial focus on the transition points. (AirplaneRandy also was all about this style) It takes both a special type of song as well as source that has a decent amount of material so you can pick and choose the hottest scenes.
But when I was telling 'sid' or MoonHero to make something less linear, what I was referring to is more of a semi-non-linear HMV. Take Kaka's 'Copulation Prodigy' HMV for example. It's extremly linear, but it doesn't show it because it repeats the hotter scenes in a random order, and I might cut a scene off halfway to continue it later on down the line. (Don't get me wrong, I don't expect someone new to make kaka quality material, his transitions, pacing, and storytelling is phenomenal)
I think I got off track there, but linear HMV's are definitely not poor HMV's, they just always need that, something, you know? That kick, that fresh coat of paint, that... something.
