Yeah, the crew is fine. Abrams ammo is stored behind an armored door in the rear of the turret. That's where this hit and ignited the ammunition. When you see T-series tanks and WW2 shit throw flames out of the hatches and have their turrets pop off, it's because ammo got hit that is stored inside the turret right beside the crew. Abrams completely avoids this problem.
That TC probably would have been wiser to just stay in the tank. Also you can see it's even moving back after being hit, so the driver is fine and tank is still otherwise mechanically healthy. It's designed to safely take hit in this ammo storage area to avoid the T-series problem described above.

its a long story with a lot of intricacies to explain.
part of it is that americans are tired of fighting in the middle east. part of it is that ISIS is very good at what they do.
when america backed out of the middle east there was a power vacuum. ISIS (also IS or ISIL) basically stomped through iraq. they were fucking brutal and word got around. they'd execute all opposition and people in iraq knew this.
the iraqi armed forces are not particularly loyal to their state. this has to do with sunni and shiite islam partially. basically, the US removed a leader that was a certain type of islam and put another one in. the Iraqi Armed Forces (IAF) were basically only in it for the money and didn't really give a shit about their country anymore.
so, when ISIS is marching on Mosul, the IAF dropped all their guns and fucking fled. like fuck were they going to die for a country that was no longer theirs and a leader they didn't choose. once ISIS captured Mosul, they got access to the bank of Iraq and some ~2 billion USD worth of gold. this enabled them to fund their war effort considerably. ISIS also gets money from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other places.
The infrastructure in Iraq was really fucking shit for a long time when it was occupied by the US. when ISIS came and took over, if you were their type if Islam and followed their rules, your life was pretty fucking excellent compared to how it was before. You had power, and water, and education for your kids, and security, and food. The new rules were brutal sure but you weren't a thief or a drug user and you followed the rules of Sharia law so whatever.
ISIS grows in power every day. They're one of the most successful terror organizations in a long time.

honestly the people inside probably survived, they'll have some hearing damage associated with the blast and bruises but not much more. Those vehicles are very tough to crack
