Possible? Yes. Easy and cheap? No. They have a wireless hdmi standard, but it tends to be hella expensive. There's something called DLNA, but it's probably what your smart tv was using in the first place, and is more like setting a media player as a library server than outright viewing the contents of your computer. Otherwise you would have to run some kind of vnc server on your computer and have a cheaper computer or pi connected to your tv as a receiver. If you were running a chromebook or android you could mirror to a chromecast, but thats about it.

Grafix card was idling at 45 since I got it, then for no reason it jumped to 55 one day, immediately after tuning on.
So I took it apart, gave it a good clean, replaced the paste and pads and put it back together.
Now it idles at 60.
Can't play games because it jumps up to 80, possibly higher.
I've checked the heat sink a million times. It's seated neatly and properly but the temperate just isn't going down.

I've been having this problem for a little less than a year now and have never been able to fix it.

So before I used an amd quad core cpu with an r7 260x that could play most games on low with no real drawbacks and shit.

I could really use some advice on my next music player purchase. I've got a 32 GB 4th Generation iPod touch that I've been using since 2010, and I'm finally deciding to upgrade since it's home button is broken and I'm having to delete some albums to make room for others. I'm not sure if I should pick up a Sony Walkman NW-A27HN 64 GB ($350), iPod Touch 6th Gen 128 GB ($400), or the Astell & Kern AK Jr. 64 GB ($400).
Both the Sony and the A&K have expandable storage, allowing them to equal and surpass the iPod's capacity. Quality of sound is a high priority for me, but so is the length of time I can listen to music. The main gripe I have with the A&K is that it allegedly only gets 9 hours of usage on a full battery, while the Sony has up to 50 hours, and the iPod gets something like 30-40 hours. I've heard that the Sony has issues with playlists and requires specific software to get songs/album art to display correctly, and obviously the iPod means I'll have to continue dealing with iTunes.

depends what kind of games you play and your budget. If you mostly play multiplayer competitive games I would go with 144Hz.
If you mostly play single player games or games that don't require very fast reactions then go with the 1440p - just make sure the gpu you're getting can run most games at 60fps at that frame rate.
For example most games I play are things like elder scrolls, fallout, doom, etc. Mostly single player games so it wouldn't really make sense for me to pick something with a higher refresh rate when 60 is enough.

the idea of an open processor is way too good for nobody to be actively developing it.
Hot summers are starting to piss me off. Trying to create a low power consumption build and therefore lower temperature. Currently running a FX-4130 and a Radeon 7850.
It looks like a good switch would be to the i3-6100 with the ASUS GTX 950 (75W max and doesn't even need a 6-pin). Is there anything that AMD offers that can compete in this range that offers similar levels of power consumption temperature, or is AMD just forever hot?

How can I use multiple target bitrates/a more variable bitrate when encoding an opus audio file?
Let's say that I want to encode an audio file with the following "format":
15 minutes: 3 minutes music, 1 minute speech, 3 minutes music, 1 minute speech, 2 minutes music, 5 minutes speech.
How do I use a lower bitrate for speech (48kbps) and a higher bitrate for music (160kbps)? Encoding speech at 160kbps would be pretty wasteful.

I basically followed this video to disable all spyware Windows 10 dragged along with its fat bloated ass. I run a Pro version. Worked like a charm, except now I've got this stupid watermark on the bottom right hand of my screen permanently plastered there.
