Can you still use these kinds of terminal music players with a real terminal? It still controls the same sound hardware on the host, afterall. Sounds like a cooler use for a serial console than just running top or idling in IRC

I'm using Sonata because I like the fact that the browser can sort by albums (rather than just by Album Artist or Artist like every other MPD client I've tried) and I can play/pause with key binds I set in my window manager.
