It will give you space to upgrade in the future. Say in 2 years you want a new GPU that happens to draw just a bit more maybe, if you went cheap now suddenly you want that new GPU but you will need a 100 dollar PSU along with it, and also, it's just safer for your investment. I built mine 2 years ago and it worked completely fine until a few months ago when i got some minor freezing / crashing issues.
i tried to swap power supplies with an old PC and somehow managed to make my hard drive stop spinning. so i figured it must've been the hard drive giving me problems. it worked totally fine, original PSU and everything just removed the HDD, and now i get home and for some totally random reason it bluescreens on the login screen.
I figure it has to be the PSU, RAM, or motherboard. a coworker told me to look around in the BIOS as well but I don't know what i'm looking for.
