How do cryptographers test whether an encryption algorithm is strong in the real way?

What the fuck are you talking about?
>>55372529
By trying do decrypt it without the key?
Or in a mathmatical way?
Are you an idiot?
How do you test that your password is strong? By trying to crack it....

Decades of mathematical / crypto analysis.
In the indefatigably wise words of Dizzee Rascal, "Maths and English, stupid!"
They use huge and highly advanced biological neural networks called brains

By asking cryptanalyst
well first of all you have to be sure that you essentially have built a strong trap door function that protects your data or signature
second you use statistical methods that test out whats the level of entropy of your data sample
next, and thats when you've satisfied the second step is to rent out a super computer or a bunch of graphics cards and create a pattern recognizer that double checks the entropy level of your datasample
personally i've never done step three, but im intending on doing it once I develop a candidate for sha4

Throw it in the market, when it gets cracked then it was shit when not then well you just had luck for now.
