the keyboard was seriously sticky so i tried cleaning it with windex, abarently destoryed the board.
It kind of lights up on boot, the power button works but they keyboard just entierly stopped working but the clit mouse still works...

Why? It's for servers that need to run commercial enterprise software made specifically for RHEL. Everything is old. Ubuntu is probably your best option for using your computer as a tool for doing things. Debian Sid is good too. But needs a bit more manual configuration.
My monitor is dead. I'm considering going for another 1080, but I"m hearing good things about 1440. The lack of IPS for 144 anything means it's out of the question either way. My question is, how does 1440 handle things like games that don't support it natively? Does it just not fill the entire screen?

I have one of those cheap trekstor wintron7 tablets and want to upgrade it to the 1511 version of windows 10. Due to the smal internal memory I can only do this by creating a bootable media.

I've been using a trackball marble for a week now, I like it except for the CPI being really low (and it not having a scrollwheel). The concept of a trackball does appeal to me. Gaming with it is still a bit hard, but I'm hoping to get better with it.

I had a bunch of random system hard freezes and restarts when my system was at low load, especially when it was only playing a Youtube video.
I realized I had my graphics card in the bottom pcie slot for some reason. I swapped it into the top slot (the x16) and the freezes have seemingly stopped. Everything I'm seeing on the internet says the pcie slot choice barely matters. Are there some unknown glitches with it in Win10 or something?

My somewhat old Dell 11z has been overheating and turning off for the past year or so and it has progressively gotten worse and worse. ClickOnce is cool for me because it's C#, but I was looking for the absolute simplest no brainer, kinda like a drag and drop wizard where you just drop you program files and your registry entries you want to make, click next and it gives you an installer and an uninstaller. Can someone help me choose between buying an Android tv box from Gearbest(~30€) with Android 5.1 and sd card entry or a rbpi 3 (~60) ? My main objective is to install Kodi to get the tv channels of my country for my parents and genesis so that I can watch movies and series. On one hand the Android box is much cheaper but it comes all bloated it's only Android, on the other hand in the rbpi3 I can install any Linux distro and use it as a computer if I need to.

So yesterday I bought a CM Nepton 240m a liquid cooler alongside a new case. I decided to mount the radiator and it's fans on the font panel of the case (inside) as seen in picture provided.
Now everywhere else I see people mounting it to the cases top side. Is there any specific reason for this and am I stupid for mounting it to the front instead? Also, a more proper stupid question. When I installed the LQ the first time, I used WAY to much Thermalpaste, but at the time didn't care about that. I booted the computer up and not long after a faint but distinct smell of something burning hit me. I checked to see if shit was going to explode but it didn't everything looked fine. I let my computer run for a while (3 hours, idle) and same faint but noticeable smell of something being fried, temps were all fine so I went a head and Prime95 stress tested my CPU. 30 minutes. 80c still the same smell. Stopped went to bed and next day smell is still there but way less distinct (aka I have to shove my nose up the case/radiator to notice it).
Should I assume it will be all right or should I return it asap for a new one?

Gonna have to insist, in these cases the only solution is almost always a CPU reballing. If you already tried replacing the thermal paste and it did nothing then replacing the cooling system is definately not gonna cut it.

After stress testing the CPU, I demounted the LQ and cleaned both cooler and CPU of Thermalpaste and applied the 'right' amount. After that the smell has somewhat declined..

The ideal for 1080p "for the next couple years" is probably an i5 6500 with an rx 480. That combo will give you above 60fps in every game @ultra settings. If you play seriously cpu bound games (gtaV comes to mind), then maybe spring for the 6600k.

I was running my laptop with Windows 8.1 today and noticed that few updates are on. I selected few security ones, blocked two related to Win10 upgrade and went on. It downloaded updates and started installation, it was on "2 out of 13" when I left.
I left my laptop for around hour, but when I returned it was still at "2 out of 13". Now I did probably very silly thing, I ordered it to stop instalaltion and when after 15 minutes it still couldnt stop it, I ordered restart.
As you might guess, it instead went to "Working with updates" screen, that is too, locked at "2 out fo 13" installation.
Im afraid to reset it right now. What should I do? It clearly stuck.

Every now and then my server just freezes (no logs) while running, for no reason. Good times. Probably some feature I don't know about. PSU and memory ruled out. The bottom might not be a Gen 3 slot. Some motherboards use Gen 2 x16 in the last slot which is a Gen 3 x8 equivalent. Still, shouldn't be causing issues since that's plenty of bandwidth. Could just be a bad slot on the board

I have a problem with bluetooth headphones/speakers stuttering. I've googled it and tried a number of 'fixes' but they don't work.
Here's what I've tried:
Updating driver BT driver
Uninstalling, reinstalling driver
Turning off effects for that device
turning off hands free calling
and of course rebooting
The stuttering isn't really bad, just randomly, every 20 seconds or so it will cut out for a half a second.

I think it's my graphics card caused some sort of power surge, because my last motherboard was fine until I installed the graphics card.
