Installed Kalibang after having gotten sick of customizing debian with kali tools and openbox, and just wanting help changing the cli login screen, as depicted by pic.

Tried modifying autostart and .xinitrc / .xsession to run on startup but to no avail. The script-kiddie skills arnt working here

Yeah, that is pretty fucking stupid. Kali is only good for a security audit. Even then you can turn about about any distro into a pentesting distro.
