The SD650 is so much better than the SD616, it is comparable or even better than the SD808.
The difference should be noticable while gaming, watching frivolous chinese cartoons in HD or whatever cpu heavy tasks you want to do.
I'd say for daily use such as chat, light browsing and such it should be totally fine for the next two years.

However, the iphone > than s7e in terms of durability.
Plenty of reports of the fancy curved screen cracking due to only slight drops OR, more worryingly, cracking spontaneously in pocket/whilst charging.
The latter issue is apparently linked to when the unit overheats when using that VR thing or when using a wireless charger; causes the battery to expand and crack the fancy curved screen. That or just bad qc.
Unless you can get the international s7e version, might not want to bother since the US release is utter shit.

you can't use cm on a newer samsung device because of their exynos cpu (international version). The us version actually has a snapdragon BUT a locked bootloader. Can't comment on tw since I never used a samsung.

It's not really that bad at all. I use a Note 5. It's an incredibly smooth experience. I wish the RAM management was a little better though. I've notice that certain apps just refuse to stay cached. It was much worse on lolipop than it is on Marshmallow however.

It was and still kinda is but it is surprisingly manageable this time (s7).

Depends on what you want.
Depends on what you do and what you want the phone to do. If you don't already know what this means for you exactly (like why you'd what cyanogen or not in the first place) likely means that using the new touchjizz isn't going to be a problem for you.
Get a different launcher/file manager/theme and make touchjizz look and function however you want. Cut the bloat with package disabler etc.
Bottom line:
It's not as bad as it used to be, and if you're not so anal (you NEED whatever rom's functions or whatever) then you're not likely going to know the difference. The fact that your here asking these questions points towards it not being such a big deal for you.

Have a look at some youtube comparisons before you make your final decision.
Not necessarily the reviews (which are all paid for) but the side by side battery tests/app launch tests etc.
One thing that majorly pisses me off about the z5 line is that the camera lens cover is easily scratched plastic.
Not apple's premium unscratchable sapphire crystal, not even whatever scratch proof glass samsung uses.
People complain about blurry pics with the z5, not realizing that it's the lens cover that's scratched up; an easy thing to do putting the phone back down on a surface without a case.
Sony's phone cameras aren't as responsive as they should be if that matters to you, but considering their actual photography division is pathetically the same in regards to usability, I guess it's no surprise lel
There's also the issue with the processor sony chose for that line. Many reports of overheating, at least with the z5 standard and the compact.
Don't throw your cash down yet.
