Probably outlook. It has a pretty simple interface, free as in free beer, comes from a provider that won't shut down or lose your emails any time soon, doesn't scan your email to send you ads like google does. Actual aliases, although Gmail's username+alias@gmail format is sometimes useful.
Cons: people on /g/ will make fun of you because hurrr Microsoft.
