which Android keyboard do you use?
ive been using swftkey and i really like the non automatic suggestions at the top that also remember your words , at the time no other keyboard did this but i guess that was years ago.
is there any better alternative with that feature or what does /g/ use?
>>54801922
HTCs stock one
>>54801922
>swiftkey
botnet
I use hackers keyboard, apart from the name it's pretty good
>>54801922
Google Keyboard.
AnySoftKey.
Just because it's one of the few open source keyboards that still runs on my ancient version of Android
>>54801988
This.
Better than the s7 stock
Google Keyboard
Google Keyboard
Google Keyboard is now bestest best. I used Fleksi for a time, it was all right.
I used to be a big believer of SwiftKey. but over a year or so it has become shitty. I like it's backspace gestures, and it's quick punctuation gestures but their predictions are going to trash. it used to be so good, now it's constantly suggesting words I never use. I tried other keyboards and they suck more, so it seems. is there a way to disable trending phases? and disable suggesting two words at a time?
>>54801922
Your keyboard is still stuck on holo design language and is obsolete.
Google keyboard has material design and is faster.
>>54802077
>Google keyboard has material design
You say that likes it's a positive.
Fleksy
>>54802115
Mah nigga
>>54801970
>>54802115
Probably the most customizeable one
But I wish it had swipe to type, that shits useful when you only have one hand available
>>54802171
You watch porn on your phone like an animal?
>>54801922
OP here is there a way for google keyboard to automatically change the suggestion language i write alot in 3 different languages and swiftkey detects it and changes The suggestions for me and it seems i have to change it manually in google keyboard
>>54802131
AOSP
I use Google Keyboard, but after new update or whatnot fucking smileys appeared in the symbol menu, can't seem to find how to eradicate them
any keyboard have gestures? quick backspace, quick punctuation, and doesn't suck with predictions? (not SwiftKey)
Google keyboard is decent after the recent update it got. Try it...
>>54801922
Swiftkey since it supports two languages at once.
>>54802804
Try Google Keyboard
>>54802882
>>54802904
it doesn't have the features I specifically asked for

>Ditchinng Holo
Google Keyboard. I miss the holo design but cursor control with space and batch deleting words is just too good. Everything else is literally BTFO.
>>54804427
>cursor control with space
How do you switch languages then?
Botnet keyboard.
No regrets.
>>54803058
It has swipe, quick backspace and good prediction. What's missing?

i was using swiftkey but it gets too laggy, now moved to glorious google keyboard, its best one atm
>>54801922
>SwiftKey
>not SwiftKey Neural
Swype keyboard
Mostly SwiftKey, because I lake the multilingual predictions.
Also because you have to press like 4 keys to get the ">" symbol on the Google Keyboard, on SwiftKey it only take a long press.
I use thumb keyboard on my phone because I have two hands and it has the best landscape layouts as well I'm not coerced into wasting screen space with a retard tier word bar.
Most basic stock. Last update of google keyboard fucked it up, and service was stopping each fews seconds.
Google keyboard. Absolutely comfy. I just can't believe how practical the space bar cursor is.

Minuum has amazing autocorrection and auto punctuation per gestures
The mini mode can be turned off, but once you get used to it you won't want to miss it. I'm much faster with it as I only need to direct my fingers left or right
LG G4 stock
It just werks
>>54806524
This is Minuum in big mode with cursor control bar opened and gestures shown
>>54801981
Same.
Quite a good keyboard, but i miss the way swifkey auto corrected my typing.
I don't like my keyboard suggesting me shit or "correcting" what I type
>>54804866
it's quick back deletes everything, not the word.
space to enter word doesn't always work.
and it's quick punctuation doesn't work as fast as SwiftKey
>>54801922
it's white or grayish white
Perfect Keyboard free. Unless anyone has any other recommended T9 style keyboards.
>>54808753
>it's quick back deletes everything, not the word.
wrong.
swipe left from backspace and hold, do not lift your finger, just continue to slide it left and right. It allows you to select exactly what you're deleting and increments one word at a time
>space to enter word doesn't always work.
uhh, yes it does
>and it's quick punctuation doesn't work as fast as SwiftKey
you can change the delays in google keyboard from 0ms all the way to 500. You could literally make it instant.
lg g4 standard keyboard w/ times new roman.
but do i go black,

>>54802131
My nigga.
I love the editor. Fleksy is very customizable.. Only thing retarded about it is the autocorrect
>multiling O keyboard
the undisputed best.
ridiculously customizable, light as a thought.
Fleksy is the best imo.
Google Keyboard, but I really hate the animation they just added for longpress.
Really messes with my muscle memory.
>>54801981
I've tried it. why is hacker's keyboard considered good? why do people keep using it?
Fleksy has this neat thing where the bit that pops up for a moment for the pressed letter cycles through a rainbow

Is it completely up-to-date with Google Keyboard? Is there any reliable place to get an apk of it? Most sites just lead to it being baked into ROMs.
>>54812799
Just use Google Keyboard, no it's not completely updated yet or at least not (yet?) in the ROM I'm using. I'm just a stockfag in general
is swpye on iOS good?
How do I compile LatinIME? I just get weird error messages.
I use touchpal
It seems to have gotten bit more ad invested, so might have to switch back to google I guess.

I always end up with Google keyboard again but the last update really fucked with autoprediction and it seems a bit laggier at times.
Shame since they finally added options for different sizes.

I'm with these guys. Bought Swype about 5 years ago and never looked back.
Tried other keyboards along the way but none have as good word prediction when swyping. Swyping shortcuts for punctuation and grammar is another thing I've only seen Swype have, otherwise I might've considered Swiftkey for a moment.
I've scored 70wpm with Swype keyboard on a typing test, pretty happy about that.
>>54801922
This one. Also, they updated the SW keyboard as well, I was using it on my Note 4 before I upgraded and it's pretty nice.
Google Keyboard APK from the Android N preview
the thing about SwiftKey, you can enter words without typing, all others you have to at least try some word to get any sort of worthwhile prediction. I've tried many. and if you miss some keyboard presses, SwiftKey will factor in some seperate words interchanging the bottom row and spacebar, incase you miss it. when it works it's great. it does better than the others that say they do it too.
I feel SwiftKey waits for the user, and all other keyboards, you wait for the keyboard.
it's a shame, because SwiftKey sucks lately, and I was looking for alternatives. and after trying so many others, I keep going back. I wish i could find an older version somewhere.
>>54813760
Muh nigga
Tried other keyboards, but something about stock software on my Nexus 6 makes me diamonds
>>54801981
Is it possible to edit single keys on Hacker's Keyboard? I hate the tab key next to the spacebar, other than that it's perfect
I just changed to Fleksy and I can say it is pretty good in predicting what I'm about to write...
On the minus side:
-no swipe
-some things could be better placed on my local language
Anyone know a good keyboard for tablets?
Swiftkey is input delaying hard on tablets for some reason.
fleksy

I know 5 languages (plus 2 more on a basic level) but don't bother with using inferior alphabets. Roman alphabet is literally the pinnacle of human written communication and now I see morons butchering it with their txtspeak which makes me sad.
>>54801922
Android - even the keyboard sucks.
Fuck your shitty OS.
>>54817845
same my nigga, was in the beta when I had my galaxy s1 way back when. kind of pissed when they started charging for it but still bought it.
once you get used to it, it makes typing way easier.
Fleksy is closest to recreating the magic of WP's almost telepathic ability for rescuing horrifically garbled typing.
SwiftKey learns words too quickly. If I type a web address into Chrome in incognito mode, or edit an address in another app even once, it'll remember it, which is suboptimal when said address is basically porn
>>54825405
>>54801922
>>54825819
Also SwiftKey, it's one of the rare good keyboards with the bépo layout and which allows to use two languages at the same time.
>>54825453
>Not understanding how the SwiftKey awesome multi-language support works.
protip: it doesn't work for multiple alphabets. In this case you have to switch manually.
>>54826025
I second this. See >>54825844, I have French and English on the same keyboard, but if I want to write in Japanese, I have to switch the layout. Also, no surprise if I say I have to switch keyboard if I want to type in Tibetan (>>54825819)
>>54825405
are you retarded? you hold the enter key to go to the emoji menu.
>>54805980
I've tried plenty, but I always go back to Swype. It has the least amount of trouble recognizing my pattern/intended trail. Whether or not I just learned how to type with Swype and anything else feels off because of that is a whole other question
After the last few updates the google keyboard is by far the best one. The only feature it's missing is a dedicated number row, but it has so many other features that make up for it.
>integrated swype
>One handed mode
>Fine cursor movement
>Delete by word
>Height Adjustments
>Long Press Adjustments
>Symbols visible on keys.
Google keyboard is the best. However, i cant seem to use the "swipe on spacebar to move cursor" feature reliably. I swipe and either nothing happens or it registers it as a swipe on the bottom row of keys, despite the swipe trail being on the spacebar. Any ideas how to git gud at this, or is it just faulty?
