Do you really need a TB of storage? A 120 GB boot drive fills up fast if you're using windows. I'd spend a little more and get a 500gb SSD. You probably have an external drive for long term storage, and everything else is on the cloud or streaming now. Unless you're one of those people who has 50+ games installed at the same time, in which case, knock yourself out. In the end, you'll probably want at least a 250gb boot drive though.

I don't dig that g-sync is not only proprietary, but it's more expensive, so I'm leaning towards Vega and a 1440p monitor that isn't shit with freesync. Not even the 1080 is the card I want, it can't do 60fps on UHD or 120+fps on 1440p across most games, I'd rather buy the card that finally delivers what I want. If AMD's own words are true, then a six-core Zen will offer no significant performance advantage over the i7-6700K in multi-threaded performance because AMD is still significantly behind Intel when it comes to IPC per core and hyperthreading optimization. What we're looking at is a mediocre CPU that offers very little in the way of performance gains over high-end Intel CPUs, will be priced the same, and is limited by its chipset buswidth, memory bandwidth, and IPC per core.

According to 3dmark11 results their best Polaris card (Probably 490 or 480x) has about GTX980 performance. They would need to sell it for way less than $300 to compete against the 1070, which will be ~$350.
