I'm doing some automation in Python(3.5), and I've run into some problems with the Subprocess module.

import subprocess as sp
drive = sp.run([r"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Google\\Drive\\googledrivesync.exe"], timeout=15)

This starts Google Drive as it should, but doesn't terminate it after 15 seconds. Not including the timeout variable and using
time.sleep()
and
drive.terminate()
doesn't work either.

Just have them get a Dell or something. You won't save any money after buying a Windows license, and they'll be expecting support from you. But hook them up with a cheap GPU and second monitor. With only one monitor, they might as well be enjoying the convenience of a laptop.

The license is tied to the motherboard. There are ways to make it work on the new computer, but it won't be legitimate, and it's easier to just install a new one you "found".

If you're a lamer gamer, you should install Windows 10 for DX12 and do the needful to minimize data collection. You can easily get yourself an illegitimate but fully activated copy without paying.

I have two drives, but think they might fail soon, because they are really old.
I also don't like that I have so many drives. I'm thinking of getting a 2TB drive and copy the contents of both of these drives over to the 2TB drive.

How do I ensure everything still works if I copy it over?
E:\ drive contains a lot of installed programs. I:\ drive contains thousands of torrents. If I give the new drive the E letter, the programs will work, but the torrents won't. If I give it the I: letter, the torrents will work, but not the programs.

How do?

My SteamGames folder is 244GB for example, all games I have are 400GB in total. My SSD is only 128GB, so there's no way I can put the games on there.

Okay lads explain to a tard how important a processor is for a vidya gaming build

Almost everyone seems to pick i7 over i5 but is there really a huge difference besides the cost? Even if I have two monitors with a shit ton of programs running would throwing out $150 more for an i7 greatly improve anything at all?
>>
>>54786785
depends on the game, if it's CPU heavy, yes.
otherwise no.

so if your favorite game is a MMO which uses a lot of CPU, grab an i7.
If it's more GPU heavy invest more into the GPU.

>>54784091
http://codepen.io/anon/pen/BzaWby?editors=0010

why is it not removing the class after the timeout?
>>
>>54786785
Most games only really need an i5, i7 might see a boost in performance but even if it does the price might not be worth it.
"Everyone" are just people you love to jerk over all the expensive shit they bought for the 'Ultimate gayming' experience.
>>
>>54786819
I am not likely to give my life up to another mmo any time soon but CPU does matter when it comes to emulation.

Currently thinking of something like an i5-6500 but I do spend a lot of time emulating games which might make a stronger i7 more worthwhile although I'm not sure if it really will have a big impact yet.

>>54786866
Also holy fuck it's like whenever I try to have an unbiased opinion about the differences between the two I'll always have the i7 pushed onto me no matter what. All I wanted was some reasonable advice instead I'm being told exactly what I need as if I can't fucking live without it.

I'm getting BSOD when playing dying light the following on Win7 x64, never had that happening before. I am not overclocking

specs
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 mobo
AMD Phenom II x4 960T
Coolermaster 212 EVO
8GB RAM
Gigabyte gaming GTX 970
Corsair HX650 PSU

Tried different drivers, problem persists.
Again, I am not overclocking, what should I do

>>
>>54786890

The question is if you need hyperthreading or not - i.e. better multi-core performance.

Also, if you aren't planning on OCing - there's also the Xeons for slightly more than an i5 (but i5 will beat them with an OC often).
>>
>>54786890
An overclocked pentium does as well as an i7 on emulators
>>
>>54786891
Have you checked your crash logs in event viewer?
>>
>>54786785
You can't just say 'i7' and 'i5'. That means a lot of things. Please use specific models in the future. From context I will assume you mean i5 6600K and i7 6700K.
Your performance is going to be determined by bottlenecks. If you have a GTX 960 then you will see basically no boost at all in most games from the 6700K, but if you have a pair of Furies Crossfired then the 6600K would end up limiting your performance in most games and the 6700K would cause a huge performance leap by removing that bottleneck. Your PC is only as strong as the weakest link in any given application. A hyperthreaded CPU is also all but entirely mandatory to stream without dropping frames unless you use a dedicated streaming box.

Do you find this is a problem when you play other graphically intensive games? Although 650W PSU should be more than enough for that setup.

Anyone else have issues setting up port forwarding with AT&T? I wanna access my server through ssh at home while I'm on the road, so I did the whole song and dance on the router but it still won't connect, it just hangs indefinitely.
Funny thing is, that's only with the ipv4 address. my ipv6 address just outright refuses the connection. I can check my ip for both, and they both match up online, but only the ipv4 one is reported by my router.

What I did was I found the fan that made the noise and I pressed really hard against it. Pretty much fixed it. I think it somehow got off the spindle by a little bit, or some plastic needed to be SLIGHTLY bent.
