Check out the TP-Link Archer T9E
Can you use AVS filters when SVP is active? I tried in FFDShow decoder settings under Avisynth, but it kept crashing MPC-HC when I added a simple grain filter. I found a better way adding the filter in MSmoothFps.avs instead but it still keeps crashing often, sometimes I've to reset ffdshow.avs that somehow gets affected too and the video doesn't even open anymore without crashing, also uses a lot of RAM up to 2GB with this method I doubt it's supposed to happen. Any suggestions/tricks to improve it? I really wanted to use just a grain filter.

wine performance depends on the particular program
it can be as fast or even faster than windows itself, wine isn't a VM, the windows program is still executed directly on the cpu, as in windows
performance issues can arise from less efficient/buggy libraries provided by wine (that emulate the equivalent windows library) or from translating Direct3D calls to OpenGL calls (there's CSMT for a faster implementation of this, and also Nine, a native implementation of direct3d 9 which you can use in some circumstances, which is very fast)
>>54700541
You could upgrade them but unless you live in a very souther area of the US or some other tropical climate and do heavy overclocking it doesn't matter.

if it's a standard mass storage class device (practically all of them are), it'll work just as well in linux and any other os

In the market for a new phone, already have one in mind but my current sim card wouldn't work with it. I've noticed I can buy nano sim cards online and was curious how I go about activating it if I bought one, also I'm assuming that so long as it's made by the carrier I want and is the correct size it doesn't matter which one I buy right?
I've never bought a phone that didn't come with a sim/ carrier attached, completely lost.

You learn how to setup a LAMP server, and then proceed to secure it.

Connect RX, TX and GND pins to the terminal pins on your harddrive, use a compatible cable (TTL to UART-RS232 to USB I assume), back in the day we were instructed to buy a Nokia CA42 cable because it 'just worked'.
Then connect it to USB and pray to god that the driver works. Open your favorite terminal emulation software and connect to the COM port the USB adapter uses.
Then very carefully write some commands to the controller. If you study anecdotal observations from other internet-wanderers with the same issue as you, you might learn what commands your hard drive supports.
One of them spins down the drive. Hooray! Now be very careful, because one typo which the controller accepts might brick your drive!
This of course assumes you own a drive with terminal pins.
This also assumes that you're so very desperate to spin your drive down. Also, I'm poking fun at you to remind me of the pains of years past.

You need to elevate your application to manipulate protected (system) processes.
You can do this either programmatically, APIs for UAC prompting exists and are probably accessible with C#. I havn't done it myself.
If you don't need interaction with your application you can also try running it as a schdtask with highest privileges. This will force it to run as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, but you do lose all possibilities of interaction, such as GUIs.
>>54708662
Your ip is already in the swarm, that is more then enough to get you caught, futhermore, you're only blocking known ips, which are going to change daily. Youd be blocking 50 ips which at one time might have been associated with it,but now its thrown back in to the dhpcd range, and joe blow has it now,so you're just blocking false positives.

>>54709311
Yup. Assuming you have a desktop and it's used for more than cawadoody. Sometimes storms here make the power go out long enough reset clocks on everything, and with a UPS I don't notice until I leave my office. They tend to protect form fluctuations way better than any plain surge protector. But most supply square wave AC which can cause problems in very specific circumstances you'll probably never encounter.

Alright, so what would be the specs to look at when purchasing an ips monitor ?
I just ran into an issue while I started up my PC.
For some reason, when it tries to power on, all the fans start to spin and my monitors seem to kick on.
Then they immediately go into power save mode and sleep.
So, I press delete to see if I can get into my bios to see if anything is amiss.
I get right into the bios and everything looks fine, nothings changed.
So I save and restart from the bios, and windows boots up just fine, until I shut it down and the problem repeats itself.
I'm not sure what is causing the issue, but was wondering if anyone has ever had a similar problem or could help me solve this?
My internet at home is fucked. I get fast results on speedtest but trying to run a ping test didnt pan out. Something about packet loss.
My issue is it takes forever to connect to a website, i cant even load up 4chan, its the unfinished black and white html version i guess that comes up, most websites save for like google searching just load endlessly.
I dont wanna call my time warner designated sodomites to see if the issue is on their side if i dont have to cause i know its gonna be a hell of a call.
And i know its not a problem with my computer because other wifis load sites just fine.

I looked it up and I kept seeing that the trim command is really important but I don't really understand how to implement it. Am I supposed to run the fstrim command on a regular basis and that's good enough? Or is there something I'm missing? Thanks family :)

>trim
use fstrim
set it to run once a week
Thats it

Assuming they're both 2.5" SATA drives it should be pretty straightforward

'how to change a laptop hard drive' on youtube.
pro tip: it's easy.
just type 'change HDD *laptop model*' on youtube and you might have a tutorial.
sometimes removing the back cover may be a bitch, but it should be easy from there on.
cool story: I once had to carve a crevice into a dull screw because I used the wrong screwdriver into an unfortunately weak screw head and it simply grinded it, so try not to be an idiot like me and use the proper screwdriver if you can.
>>54710665
Pretty easy. Just find the relevant service manuals. Any Windows installation will stop working. GNU/Linux usually doesn't care.

>requires user input to use a fucking critical feature that's been standard since 2009
So this is the power of Linux?
>>54710730
TRIM should work automatically, you should just verify its enabled
>>54710770
You're talking about the size, right? It's common for their sizes to vary?
>>54710771
Alright, thanks for the tips.

What are Windows installations? The OS? Sorry, I'm really stupid.
>>54700140
Where can I locate Sweet OS?
I'm building a PC, but it's a gaming PC that will be in my room, a few rooms away from the main PC with the modem and router. How do I get an Internet connection? I'd rather not have a wifi desktop, so do I get a second router and hook it up?
>>54711024
Why not just run a network cable from gaming pc to the router connected to the main PC?
Though honestly I'd just use my android phone connected to the home wifi and pfanet to route internet to the gaming PC desu. Wifi latency isn't really that bad.
Best option for streaming/DDL for movies and tv shows?

If I want to print pictures from the webz, resize it to a poster size and then frame them?
What resolution should be my minimun?

No bueno
>Checking for updates...
Anyone actually managed to solve this never-ending shite? I even dism'd the convenience rollup update (basically Windows 7 SP 1.5) into the ISO when I installed it on my X200s, but it's still fucked.
>>54711167
Why not?
>>54710029
Someone pls respond
>>54711226
You have to buy a VPN
/g/ if I sold my netbook for 100 and got what I needed, do you think I could get something decent for that then? Or start small and slowly grow or should i try and buy everything at once?

whoops

True but they're cheap as dirt nowadays. PIA is $7 a month or $40/year (~$3/month).
>>54711273
I don't wanna buy one though
>>54711318
Get on private trackers and your risk will be significantly lessened.
Getting an android phone for the first time in a few days, can anyone recommend some must have apps? I don't mind spending a few bucks on apps if they're worth it.
I don't plan on doing anything crazy with it, just get a few emulators and general upkeep/ optimization.
>>54711318
Well it's either pay for one or risk getting party vanned. However there is a worse 3rd option: stream shit and hope it's available in your country or on your streaming provider.
>>54711273
pia?
>>54711417
>stream shit and hope it's available in your country or on your streaming provider.
That's what I'm going for, my friend reccomended Kodi, and well this shit isn't too bad I was wondering if y'all knew something better

Check dns settings. Switch for testing purposes to Googles 4.4.4.4/8.8.8.8
Check if you have an ip conflict (just change your ip).
Disconnect everything but 1 pc from router and test again.
Do you have only 1 DHCP in your network?

Did not put anything for vydia, you will have to look around and try out games until something stick. My advice is don't buy until you've seen the gameplay on youtube and liked it.
What the fuck does this mean:
>"For $60 Unlimited plan, data depriotization hotspot data capped at 8GBs."
https://www.boostmobile.com/shop/plans/monthly-phone-plans/
Does this mean hotspot is disabled until next month or that that it's just slowed down to 2G speeds?
Currently on project and want to switch over to boost mobile because I'm getting fucked by google.

Thanks man, very much appreciated.
what the fuck is the package name for the samsung update notification? Trying to disable it with Debloater and no one on the planet seems to be able to name the fucking package

nevermind, I found it
>>54711540
It's slowed down and deprioritized. Which means you get like 64kbit/s and terrible latency.
For such stuff don't hesitate to email the company for clarification
