Any way to change the amount of dedicated video ram for your laptop?
My little brother is trying to play a game but it keeps saying " failed in finding proper screen mode for gr2d " which is apparently an issue for lack of video ram. Not sure though.
Tried updating drivers. Can't change it manually through the bios. Tried compatibility mode for the game but no dice.
Is it an integrated or discrete graphics chip (eg is it HD Graphics or an NVIDIA/AMD)? If it's integrated you may be able to allocate more ram as dedicated memory through the BIOS.

There's a BIOS setting for laptops that share system memory. It's usually pretty limited and does almost nothing to improve performance.

It's integrated, so no, but AM4 APUs are coming soon anyways, so build a desktop
