i have a lot more trouble using mpv than vlc. I used to use MPC-HC but the 1980s-tier interface really got to me.
MPV, on the other hand, has no interface at all (except for the quicktime-tier controls overlay). No right-click menu on the video, no menus at the top, no preferences or options anywhere. It's like the intentionally designed an entire, functional software project and then failed to pay their GUI designers a cent, hiding everything away in obscure command-line arguments at the last minute.
