Is there such a thing as an ethical laptop?
sure, ethics are subjective
A laptop on its own is not a question of ethics
poo in it
Probably not. As another person mentioned there is the subjectivity issue, but beyond that even with common ethics it is unlikely. The tech plants over in China and Taiwan have loose if any safety standards and pay way less than other worldwide minimum wages. So it is less from an open source standpoint and more from an occupational and environmental hazard standpoint that laptops are unethical.

Fair-trade coffee exists, fair-trade laptops don't. Conclusion, azns don't give a shit about other azns.

I should clarify, I'm talking it the construction of the laptop, from the environmental impact and the workers who manufacture and make the laptops conditions etc
It seems more or less impossible, however I'd argue the second hand purchasing of the laptop is probably the most "ethical" way in regards to a laptop
