Can someone explain why using the UniFi supplied speed test on my gateway has such different results compared to server based test? Mostly latency than speed.
It doesnt make sense to me.

Because speed tests mean nothing. Real world download and upload speeds are what matter.

I am just trying to figure out why such a latency description. The Gateway test show 55ms, with the average of 133ms, but the most web based sites typically show 15 give or take.
I am trying to allocate bandwidth to certain devices and users and especially with VoIP figure out if I have a latency issue or not.

just ping the server using command prompt if you want accurate results.
They're really not very different. The differences in speed and ping could very easily be because it is two different servers you're testing from.
