Is this a well performing and capable piece of hardware for its price point? If i were to use a 20+ foot ethernet cable (which cat to use; 5e?) to plug it into my router, would I see noticeable frame drops? Dont >>>/stupid questions/ this either, /v/ is pretty clueless.

Well an average cable size of a cat 5e before a switch is needed is about 100 meters so your good in length, but you may have interference though.
But for FRAME DROPS involves hardware issues.
